Diamond packs are better in the long run technically, as you get challenge gold's from other sources including most diamond packs with some exceptions.

But that's only in the long run, it's min-maxing which is as the name implies.

And there's the other mentality of "I want to have fun now" kind of. More instant gratification from the game. Diamond packs generally cost 30%-50% more depending on the pack. So by that logic, you can get to the Fusion X stage 30%-50% quicker, which in turn can help you do certain things like towers and survivor mode quicker and more efficient, which in turn can also get you more diamonds.

@vale star Like for example, my friend recently started playing Morrowind, which is a relatively mechanic heavy game with lots of RNG and semi-conplex math with it's mechanics that are completely overwhelming to someone not familiar with it, and can even be annoying to veterans who know how it works.

He went off a guide on Reddit which was talking about technical bests and min-maxing and all that good stuff. The Reddit guide wasn't wrong at all, it was the best way to min-max a character.

But he wasn't having fun, so many things to keep track of, and it generally detracted from his experience.

I helped him out and asked what he wanted, then gave him something that fit his play style without overwhelming him.

Guess what? He had a lot more fun doing it the way he wanted to. Before he played for 15 minutes and wanted to quit, and then he played for a couple of hours and enjoyed it
