Don't bother with story mode, after you finish the tutorial just go straight to faction wars and grind your bronze team there
After your characters all hit level 10-15, try to do the first tower of challenge
Go until either you make it through the tower or you fail a battle
Once you hit this point, just keep grinding faction wars, soon the first tower should be easy to beat by the second/third challenge
Meanwhile open as many silver packs as possible and start grinding them in faction wars as well

You just missed the Kold War Tower, which is a fatal difficulty tower giving a random diamond character at battle 100 and a random Kold War character(plus an epic tower gear) at battle 200
For bugs, check the #update_3_1_feedback because people have been posting things they find there
