Since the MKM v2.6.0 update, I have found a workaround that will occasionally solve the problem of failure to Recharge Team Energy after viewing ads. Simply, tap your Recent Apps button, then just tap the MKM tile to reenter the game. If nothing changes then tap your recent apps button again and wait for a few seconds to elapse (5-10s). Otherwise, keep trying: Tap the recent apps button repeatedly, preferably allowing a few seconds, say 3-5, between taps, of course tapping the game tile to bring it back up. This works ~+80%. As someone else suggested, it may be just a matter of waiting, despite there seeming to be nothing more happening. Anyhoo, the placebo effect makes you feel contributive.
