you'll eventually buy packs with souls/DK and the RNG gods will determine who you use based on what cards you get

there's 3 challenge towers right now and you can probably at least do enough to get free gold packs if not the character themselves

if you can't do the harder difficulties that's fine. You made due in the meantime and wait til they come around again

Oh and for the Towers (right now they're Klassic, Vought, and White Lotus), even if you get stuck at a certain level, it's still worth it to at least enter and quit the fight because you get a standard participation award which is either koins, souls, dragon krystals, or characters and equipment and they can be any tier, common, uncommon, rare, epic, diamond, gold, etc.

Spend koins however you want. They eventually become so plentiful you'll never think about it. I think I have 190 million or something.

Silver Packs and Equipment Packs are good for gearing up to begin with. The Gold Pack isn't worth it IMO because you can get all those cards for free and the more specific packs have chances for rarer characters or diamond ones. I think the one there now is the Martial Artists pack. Some people never buy packs at full price and just horde their souls until there's a sale then spend to their heart's content.

Some higher tier items can be converted into dk if you already have it maxed out. Like gold charecters or diamond charecters and some equipment. There's multiple other ways like placing higher in faction wars, chance to drop from krypt as well. Grand prize in towers. Its not really something you'll get a lot of early on. Its more of a "i got a lot of things maxed so these are like a little refund"
