I think speaking plainly, the only way we would see it is this game getting a big push both in advertising and funding. the 2 characters per update put ALOT of pressure to create highly sellable and marketable characters to the largest audience they can. ghostface is simply gonna excite more than some mkx character

and yeah, klassics are the same gimmick, especially when the arcade collection was coming/new
