I guess that's where I'm at odds with the whole thing like, yep once you got you MK11 team maxed you're pretty much good. There's no drive to experiment more when they decide the teams ahead of time and limit what they can do with other fighters. Imo team synergies should be an external set bonus that increases with each person of that faction on a team. Then just let their passives be universally useful
