Yeah, I pretty much think that any Epic for a weapon slot is better than a Rare, unless perhaps the Rare is at F9.

I remember back when this was MKX and then there weren't all these new game modes and newer players could spend some of their time experimenting, before Synergy was a thing, with different characters on their team. Experimentation often leads to discovery. But with all the new game modes, unless you don't mind getting left behind, there is precious little time for analyzing team dynamics especially with Golds, imo. That elusive knowledge would be very helpful if someone would take the time and contribute their findings.
