The reason she isn't a gold is cause when she first came out, she was part of the cross-platform unlocks (this includes a number of characters like undercover cassie, ninja mime johnny, cybernetic jacqui, farmer jax, injustice scorp). This means you had to link your mobile account to your mkx console to get a copy of them.

She is the first klassic character before NRS decided to add in other klassics. By then, golds were the mainstay of MKM and thus was never adjusted.
