I’m a member of the klassic ermac church and from the time I’ve spent using him I’d say if you already have a scorp or sub in your collection it doesn’t hurry to pick up ermac in stead of the other klassics for now. His passive is very strong and his S2 snares and is a grab so he can deal damage just not the way you may be used to.

also it highly depends on the nightmare jason you're fighting. he might be way more tougher and have higher stats than you. so dealing damage with only basic attacks will be risky since he can comeback with his own special attacks. you have to do specials at some point in order to deal dmg to him

Don't use sp atks or combo enders. You can also use DOTs (damage over timers) like fire, poison and bleed. Black Dragon Kabal allows himself and fellow Black Dragons to use combo enders and sp atks without any problems. Use equipment like blaze life force at the beginning of the battle to give you a headstart by inflicting fire
