you’re only trying to get maxed golds for stats they’ll carry you through a lot even with bad passives, challenge pack is twice as expensive

after you have a few golds III or IV you can start opening up some other packs if you want

mk11 skarlet packs are permanent so you’d be patient to save souls for the pack. some of the challenge golds you can get from it are so good (such as kc golds, kosplay jacqui, triborgs..). you get chances for mk11 diamonds too, you don’t only spend for a gold. a F0 mk11 scorp can carry you already

diamonds are cool. but won’t CARRY with fusion 0. same for challenge characters. yeah it’s nice to have them but you’ll have more quantity going for gold packs and when you have them very high fusion you’ll be able to collect more souls in the long run and save for those packs

you can really skip the “basic golds” part since there are better golds (challenge golds). the only difference is that the one is more expensive than the other. but you’ll still be able to save up souls with challenge golds too (they have higher stats also)
