@wicked ledge, you can also get equipment even if you lose, someday that equipment may be super useful. And most of the "cheaters" on youtube are showing off the cards, not actually hacking the game for any other specific gain.

@earnest citrus Tanya's special has to be hitting, not blocked, if she has kobu jutsu blades the special has a chance to be unblockable, otherwise normal unblockable gear like vial of infinite blood (an accessory), and a wrath hammer are worth a try. But the specials have to land, not be blocked, so adjust your play, if you have an unblockable gear, do the special after you break their block, if you have kobu jutsu, throw the special ASAP and hope it's unblockable. Not sure which strategy is more effective, I'm going wrath, storm hat, and vial personally. You get a random diamond at Kold War tower 100. Can confirm. Try her with Warlock Quan Chi and Hellspawn Scorpion (for MA bar of power starting). If you quit a battle you go back to where they were at the beginning of the battle.

Scorpion can cause bleed which will increase regen, so I would stop with him. Maybe try Bonshaper and Vengeful Shinnok. Use Kold Cup Sonya to force tag out on who is giving you the most trouble. Let Sonya die to power up you BS Shinnok and try to save him for last. Also, your not quitting when you know you're going to lose right?

From four complete runs in previous towers I collected 10+ rares. I don't see it happening in KWT. Only tower where I passed worse was LKT, not a single rare from four runs.

You have a great team .. Maybe if you make some changes on equipment?
Also remenber .. With Jade the fire does not damage and gives life to the MK11 ..
and with Raiden the MK11 are immune to stun ..
I would suggest using CC Ops for 25% in unblockables (for Johnny) and her sp2 has a lot of punch .. a real help because if they block specials Noob counterattacks ..
the detail is that you will have little time with these characters because of black magic .. good luck

@jaunty mantle I use kc Sonya blade(blockbreaker,military vest and any power gen), inferno scorpion(bladed fan fx, face mask fx, ermac accessory) and warlock quan chi(bounded demon, any blockbreaker and power gen)

Tag out jade with Sonya and spam scorpion sp1 on any of the characters remaining(do not perform his combo ender if not the character will lose its stun state and tag out and also make sure you get all your specials unblockable) try to kill Noob first

@upbeat flower i know it all to well. Wase stuck on 182 for 62 tries bifore I beat them. I used circle of shadows Liu Kang, Day of the dead jade and KC sonya. First I used sonya to tag out Jade, then I used Liu Kang's sp1 to keep raiden or noob from tagging out, then Jade to Damage the opponent, back to Liu Kang's sp1 and so on... 62 try's .... So I feel you buddy🥴

@waxen remnant unfortunately, kold war tower is really hard for beginners. Try to grind you characters, equipment... next tower you can go further. That said, keep trying because you'll get some rewards even losing the battle

I have the theory that beginners get better drop rate. Netherrealm wants to hold the beginners even if they lose a lot on towers. So they probably needed to increase the drop rate for beginners (or at least it stayed the same as in the last towers) . But for old players (me playing it for more then 3,5 years) they think i will stick with the game anyway (because of the pschologic effect of escalative commitment (to much diamonds and gears already.. ---> highly unlikely that such a guy leaves the game and gives up 3,5 years of work on it) .. so they can lower the probability for gear drops for the old players and make it more "attractive" to buy the packs... but regardless how the tower ends for me, .. i will leave the game when the tower ends.. It takes to much, and gives to little.. i mean the game in his whole. Espescially for old players. And if my theory is correct than its really sad for old players. How long do you play the game?

So you are an old player.. or a player who spend money (and netherrealm doesnt want to lose those players ..thats for sure.. so maybe the drop rate for those are higher)

I accept a standard deviation of 50% .. so if someone gets at 7 runs = 5-6 rares , its totally fine with me if sometimes i get only 4 rares.. thats a normal random bad luck etc... But to have at 7 runs 1-2 rare pieces. Thats more than 300% deviation. Thats straight unfair . All players should have the same chances. And if not: netherrealm should tell that forehand.

I also gave up to hope for epic pieces on normal battles. In koldwar tower AND in nightmare tower AND in horror tower i got not one single epic piece in normal battles (thats in total around 12 runs.. or to put it that way: around 3000 battles at least)

Did you read my first posting? Did you read "escalative commitment"? Do you know what that means? I explained it partielly. Roughly said: older players highly likey stick with the game.. but it needs motivation to make them pay for packs.. for example if they want a brutality... ever wondered why past brutalities never came back in the towers? Where is a kabal brutality for new players. But i dont want to make it to complicated. So please stick with that what i said about escalative commitment (there is a very good wikipedia article about it)

It maybe depends in future how long you played the game and if you are a money-payer for the game or not (people who already payed money on the game have maybe also higher chances on drops in towers (because its more important for mortal kombat to hold that guys) .. older players who dont payed any money on the game arent as important to hold. In fact they only are to much weight for the servers

You like to misunderstand me. I never said its that way. I just say: it seems so. I wrote plenty times "maybe i am wrong" ( why nobody reads postings in a whole? xD and just nitpicks? xD)

I also dont have proves .. a bad tower run from one or few guys proves nothing. Thats why i said: it needs a lot of guys and their results to have a argument which can be called: prove

That's not entirely correct. For new players with strong team that amount of souls is approximately correct, but they benefit from collecting random drop gold cards. In contrary to old players with maxed out cards, plus random souls drop and sellbacks from maxed out tower uncommons, that amount of soul cost for tower refreshes is significantly lower or none. I would say that some days refreshes pay them self out in my case.

Its just seems a bit odd.. for me at this time. And i played all the towers.. and the rare piece-drops differed.. yes.. but not that hard like "one tower dropped 1 rare piece . And the others 7-8 pieces"

And it seems that few players also noticed this tower-behavior.. so maybe (just maybe) there is something truth on that.. like i said: i dont know. It just seems odd

But suddenly one Day some of my gold players was transformed from gold to diamond( when diamond began) so instead of having a gold dod Jade fx i hade a diamond dod Jade fx, and it was possible to buy any figthers you want in the shop. So many of the "old" players who had a lot of fx gold figthers back then, got some pretty Strong diamond figthers over nigth

Thats not a gift. Its actually more of a disadvantage.Yes i also belong to those players. And guess what. Since that update (i think it was 2.0) i maybe fusioned 3 diamond characters to fusion 10. It slowed the progress for every player by the factor 100. I can calculate that it now needs at least 30-40years to max out all diamonds without paying money. Also i didnt talked about the character cards (dont know why you went that way) .. i talked about the drop rates for rare pieces in he kold war tower for old players

@ornate bronze There are around 50 diamonds in the game. Now multiply 10 months with 50 diamond-characters :) .. Get me? :)

I'm curious to know the drop rates behind the scenes for these towers. In my last 9 fights, I got 3 gold cards. Each one 3 fights apart.

Like i said.. average speed seems to be around 1-2 diamonds maxing out per year. Let it be 3 diamonds per year .. still means around 20 years .. it was just a number from a hat 30-40 years.. like i said: it needs to be calculated

Maybe there is something strange or maybe we are cought in bad luck stream and reward algorithm hates us. I will try with clearing cache on mobile and logging in again. I know that that will do nothing, but still.

In my opinion, with normal SRT battle 110 that had guaranteed random rare tower equipment drop, they made an excellent step to reward an active and determined player. If only they kept that guaranteed reward in one of the fights, plus this luck or no luck drop throughout the tower, in the end players would be happier for their effort and time invested in game.
