I'm using basic atk/def tree for my tower. With good gearing, it's been working fine for me (lost once in all seasons, otherwise all won)

If I put 4/5 in support then it works. If I put 3/5 in support and 1/5 on any talent, it doesn't save it. Anyway, it's just time wasting

But even on the atk or def trees it won't let me save it all in one go - have to put a few talents in, get out of the setting, go back in and add few more.

Dots wont work here. The same for any debuff. Resilience makes duration much shorter. Burnout decrease your power generation...So you will need some attempts on this one. But with Ermac on your team you should try to survive as long as his passive is up.
