the best way would be to implement a character with easy access to freeze (eg, any subzero with freeze on sp1)

raiden’s trap from sp2 is sadly somewhat rng, the ai can break out of it way sooner sometimes which just ruins the whole point of him

freeze lasts about 6 seconds which is guaranteed to allow you to tag to raiden and get off one charge

also of course there are some gears that will stun or freeze to allow him more charges, like psych bomb or shintai of the north
