If they were being honest, they are likely the sort that just want to dive into a new game and rush to try and defeat, rather dominate the other players as far as their deep pockets will allow.

Battle Mode was important to me in multiple ways, one being it didn't require Internet access. And as a real video game player, I rely on my natural skills to be competitive so I jumped into Battle Mode first, wholeheartedly, and trained myself how to become competitive before I ventured to challenge the players in FW.
