It is not before the fight..it is in the middle of the fight..all 3 opponents are stealing shield..not twice, everytime LK shield trig from stunt award.. The opponent is mk11 jade, mk11 sz, mk11 raiden.. All three of them stealing the shield...lol

Nothing really special. If you're going full solo mode, non-tower gear i'd use revolvers, fx sash, medallion and maybe tomahawk or hammer. As for tower gear, sindel's whip is amazing on skarlet. Vermit's hat + wpa to snare them (which is necessary since skarlet shines after killing) snake skin for debuffs resistence and incurability on tag in and i right now i use shintai of the north as a 4th slot item

Behavior from AI : during your combo BB, AI is combo-ing you or SP attack you. I've noticed this behavior during all types of tower or FW. And i know what u thinking : intercepting. It is not intercepting. Intercepting is about timing. They are actually denying your attack and they start attacking u instead. This kind of feature, me, as a human player i cannot reproduce.
