Elder is raiden and kitana for some, outworld characters for others, with the first challenge being any gold/diamond

#

Which I usually just use for FoS grinding, get 30 matches for characters who have the “complete x challenge mode matches”

#

Klassic mileena is great: her passive rocks, she has high dps, is all around solid. I wouldn’t ascend her before klassic scorp or smoke but she’s definitely up there. I’m mostly doing these now for the FoS and for an extra fusion on the Kameos.
Can’t wait for KC Cassie because her kameo is so peak 🥹

I actually really like her. Load her with power gen equipment, she builds up her SP2 pretty quick, fire off the SP2 which is a pretty good attack, and increases the power gen even more. Especially good in challenge/single player fights to get through them quickly

I do the last soul tower until energy runs out, then switch to the next one down until energy runs out, then so on. Then go back to the last one again on full energy. Saves time in not switching the teams around too much.

Soul Drop Rates & Drop Amounts were affected in Update 2.5 - Soul Drops are now available on Challenge Towers that offer Koins as the final reward (Soul Drops come in 5 based on the increment of three out of all twelve matches) Soul Drop at Tower 3, 6, 9, and 12 being the final reward. In total you earn about 15 Souls from one Tower in challenges - it's a pretty handy addition imo. 👌 🍻

It is unknown at the time whether these Soul Drops are guaranteed on each of those three battles listed above - I will test it and update you guys soon.

Alright, I've done some tests & digging of my own and i've analyzed the results: Soul Drops worth of 5 are guaranteed at Battle #3 in any Tower that offers Koins / Silver Packs on Normal difficulty - At Tower #9, you will obtain another Soul Drop worth of 10. (The incremental value for soul drops in the ladder is by +5 for normal difficulty challenges)

It's guaranteed to get a Soul Drop at either Battle #3 or Battle #9 in the Towers I listed earlier, but it's possible to obtain two drops as well. The increment value for Soul Drops is +5 for Normal Difficulty Challenges, as I stated earlier. The maximum number of Soul Drops you can get per Tower is only two though. (2 Drops multiplied by 3 Towers = 3 Total Soul Drops multipled by the 15 Souls obtained = 45 Total Souls via non-soul rewarding Towers) - this is excluding the final rewards that come in a specific (unknown; x) amount of souls on Tower V & III. @proven vector

I have ran the analytics based on the Hard Difficulty Challenge - On Battle #4 of Tower I, II, & IV; The Soul Drop Amount is 7 & on Battle #8 of these three Towers; The Soul Drop Amount is 13 - Basically, you can earn a total of 20 Souls per each of the three towers on the Hard Difficulty. The increment value of Souls obtained is +5 from the Normal Difficulty, I believe this is the same case for Elder Challenges as well. Based on my calculations, a grand total of 60 Souls can be obtained from the following three towers in accordance to completion on Battle #4 & Battle #8: Tower I, II, & IV (1/2/4) - this is excluding the final soul reward drops from Tower III & V (3 and 5) which offer 46 and 65 Souls in accordance to their completion. Basically to summarize this analysis - 171 Souls can be obtained as a grand total from running the Hard Difficulty Challenges (65 Soul Final Reward + 46 Soul Final Reward + 60 Souls obtained from the three towers in accordance to completion = Grand total of 171 Souls) - If we were to take into account the amount of souls obtainable from both Normal + Hard Difficulty Challenges - the final total would be 301 Souls.

At the older challenge it was a difference, if you started the first round with max or stronger team's, the second was harder, if you started with lower team's the second round was a bit easier

I don't know if it is now the same, but I hold the distance and don't play the first round with the strongest ....

I believe the most that could be done in terms of gameplay is upscaling the graphics, tweaking character movement speeds & latencies, tweaking character damage numbers, and implementing 60hz (FPS) Fatal Blows.

Oh, and most of the new characters we've gotten these past few months have new movesets, so they could revamp combo enders / specials as well.

Overhauling a UI and graphics engine is completely different than reworking the game engine

They'd basically be making a new game and that's what it'll end up being if they did such a thing

Also the teams for all their mobile games arent completely seperate

Some people work on or oversee the other mobile games too

Also if they're on a deadline they might outsource some of the workload to another team

As much as we'd like things to be a certain way there's alot of work that it would require that WB as a company wont approve of because of the cost involved

Every couple matches I've got to switch Raidens in Klassic Mileena challenge on the fifth ladder.

To avoid spending souls to recover energy. Recharge team is broken as usual.

It's not very easy even on the first tier.

I had Klassic Mileena fused once already. I guess I forgot about it. On to the second tier.

@dark elm When you fight Boss Mileena, she gains 5% strength every 5 seconds. I defeated her easily first try on the normal challenge with Hanzo alone. On Hard I had to use Hanzo, Raiden, and Liu Kang

Black Dragon Kabal is a good counter to Assassin Jade though, guaranteed combo enders are useful when facing her imo

I managed to get my Jade to FX though, although I've barely been putting her to use anywhere 😂

Not just combo enders. Specials too. I’m 99% certain the reason they introduced the Black Dragon team was in response to complaints about Jade

Beat her tier III with 2:00 left with unequipped Commando Kano and Klassic Kano. Elder III-V now complete. Just 50 more matches to go for Mileena F4. GEB didn't have to tag-in. (All FX)
I can barely keep my eyes open. Didn't even know I was up against her until I realized Commando Kano was getting his ass delivered.
