I finished the challenge so I can't look back, I think skipping 1 battle is 10 souls and then it increases exponentially. Like 15, then 30 and so on but I'm not sure. But the reward is a 100 souls so it'll pay out as long as you beat the other battles.

FF Lui Kang was a disappointment of a boss. He didn't have anything special about him except over 100k health which means nothing when reptile poison can melt that in seconds.
