One thing i learned from this game is patience. Lots of it. Focus on the end goal and bigger picture result in the grander scheme eventually. U need to be patient, avoid using his first skill..wait for sp2 to power up and then use that. Sp1 can be easily blocked. I'm a huge ermac fan from the actual games. Kl ermac and master Of souls is alot better than this variant. But for starters u need to rely on ur higher fusion get them leveled up then eventually u can move on to others once they're strong too.
