He can be good in the beginning but equipments and challenge golds fusions help MUCH more

Honesty, your damage needs to be really low to take 10+ attempts on bosses, which is when you use ermac

Only way Id consider using ermac is if I had him high fused, so I could run him as the snarer not just 10% hp suck and ocassionally block enemy attacks since his chaining isnt that great

dark fate is known as the best tank in the game and has more hp + ressurection than guardian.
guardian can save you from incoming special attacks by tagging in and blocking them with reduced damage, dark fate can't do this but guardian also sacrifies himself.
dark fate has cripple on sp1 and guardian on sp2, the better answer is obviously dark fate as he can spam sp1 cripple that does good damage.
