I'm lucky that I had some gear which was very helpful

but all I can say is make sure ermac is in every fight, use your kameo to stop him from doing sp1, if he does, use your kameo for incurability. if you're using scorp then make use of spear spam. and if you have any sort of block breaking gear that comes in handy a lot.
