Sub zero is a tough guy and basically your main defense he can create a ice clone after he gets defeated once meaning you can just put more health and defensive gear on him and make him a tank and he has second life

2 new friendships (Skarlet and Noob).
New gamemode, Tea House, some type of trial for chances at Mk1 Characters and Fusion up kards.
Fusion up kards are in kombat pass and elder krypt as random drops and shao kahn helmet will drop normally.
Kameos are coming, every diamond and gold has a kameo variant. Will be the same as characters, can fusion up and level up and level up sp attacks. Kameos will have 1 offensive (a sp attack+buff) and 1 defensive ability (maybe block or reduce enemy sp attack). Will get Klassic Scorp and Sub for free. Mand said you can get Kameos for DKs not souls.
Tower of Horror rework is coming with Nightmare tower as well. Elder Wind and Kold tower are coming back.
Elite packs will be updated and Spawn is buffed.
New kombat pass will give both a copy of both new diamonds (in Premium Pass). Sektor kombat pass is Season 17 kombat pass.
