At the same time 20 % reduced power cost of sp1 gives more value than sp2. Because there are a few gear pieces that give 30 % reduced power cost of all sp and even the talent only reduces the cost by 15.

An alternative tho, is saving up souls and only buying specific characters you want (from the character they put on sale daily

This way you can buy specific golds you want and save souls most of the time, and when you have enough souls you can splurge on exclusive packs that come every now and then

Personally, I feel like every kombatant has to define what growth and success looks like for them, you gotta know which diamond and gold teams you wanna max out and then fuse or buy those any chance you get (calculated risks of course) , and btw covert ops cassie is a good choice
