Personally, if you're positive you can save up enough hearts for both in time, get the Epic equipment first. It can help a lot when the corresponding seasonal tower comes around (and also the gear itself is pretty nice). But if you can't save up hearts in time, then go for the Diamond of your choice (Ravenous Mileena is pretty good, good passive and dmg overall).

I don't think passive effects can stack up after each level like that, but Pharaoh Ermac is good to have in your team nonetheless

If passives effects did carry over to the next battle, then characters with a resurrect passive would only be able to do so like once in an entire run

It doesn't stack. The death needs to happen in the current match for his passive to trigger.

It's the same with resurrection gear/passive. They can activate once per fight but multiple times per krypt run. Imo that's why SF scorpion is really good in krypt
