The Forest, Marble, Crystal Mine, Sulphur Pit, and Vines should downgrade if a player who contributed resources leaves the island, down to the level that corresponds to the remaining players’ donations. This would prevent abuse through re-donations and donor accounts. Also, let’s see by the number of dislikes how many of you have been exploiting this system for far too long.

wouldnt it be better, that an account just doesnt get the donations as a freebe when switching servers/ghosting?
This would be rly bad for players when someone leaves the game, who had a lot of cities (and donations) on your Island.
It would especially hurt F2P-Players since they cant just easily relocate afterwards to a better Island.
Only benefit I see here is that the mentioned abuse would stop, but as @versed thunder pointed out rather nerf ghosting instead so f.e you only get 50% of your previous donations back (so that real players who come back to the game still have some amount).
If it can annoy the nasty cheaters, then I say a big YES...💋 Because kind, honest players can't compete with them. It's a matter of social justice and public salubrity on Ikariam to address this. Laxity is not a sustainable long-term solution for GAMEFORGE.
I'm in between seats with this one.
@silver badger has got a good point.
The missuse of this donation-packages doesn't make sense when thinking about a "real" island empire.
But it also doesn't make sense, that a build resource infrastructure "in real life" would get ripped down if one leaves.
@versed thunder 's point on the other hand would make sense, because why would you get all your wood back if you leave that server.
But not getting any resources back after a future server-merge, would cripple you unable to play, because you could never upgrade fast enough to not lose most of your population.
@river dove 's idea with 50% is something I'd get behind.
Another idea would be, to not get ressource-packs when remerging on the same server.
So the missuse would maybe get smaller, because you would have to constantly pay for merging on another server.
how about no donation freebe when ghosting, so you only get it by merging?
Thats the issue with players who come back after a long time, starting again with 0 donations.
Which is why I think 50% makes more sense, you can't rly abuse it (since you lose 50% each time), while normal players who actually come back after some time, still have some part of their ressources from back then available again.
Then again, either way we'd still have (as back in the days) just normal donation accs who continously sit on islands donating absolutely everything, for the main accs to benefit.
So while reducing the amount of donated wood you get back via ghosting would make the game more fair, it obv. wont remove abuse like that completely.
That's what I was trying to say, with "no ressource-packs when remerging on the same server".
then they take a detour, your donation acc moves from server A to B to A and your friends donation acc moves from server B to A to B, with you playing on Server A and your friend on server B. Also a lot of normal players who come back, want to go to the server they had been playing before
One could add a notification, that you just get the donations back if you merge to another server.
You're taking one step too far. First, resolve the issue with the donation account, and then carry out this step afterward. Maybe this will be in 2030 or later 😄 good luck
That's a legit point.
You're right, they would just abuse it like that.
There's a lot of things I believe in:
- extraterrestrial life
- human rights
- maybe living in a virtual reality
Getting rid of multis is nothing I believe in 😅
This way you make the new levels for the mines completely impossible to reach.
