What exactly are "new wevents that require the players to explore"? How does that bind into the "broadcast"?

Maybe some things like wars between alliances (if you add the option that both party's don't need to declare) so witch ally won the war. Or the new top 3 spots for example donations,off points or deff point.... at least that's how I understood the idea about global news
