#Securing blade

As long as it has about an inch of depth and a screw to hold it in place it should be fine.
With that said I wouldn't go ham hitting things if it's shallow blade depth
This^^^
+look to make sure you are tighening all retention screws. Then, something I had to learn is that there are "thin" and "thick" walled blades of the same 1" or 7/8" variety...so there could be a fraction of a difference in fit.
So make sure you are using the correct size blade first, and if it's not the right fit, you can lightly sand the base to make it a tad smaller or add some very thin tape to make it a little larger. Haven't had to do wither yet, so cross fingers you should be fine with the right size blade.
btw, thin and thick wall doesn't have anything to do with the fit. it's just about how thick the wall of the blade is for durability, flexibility, and weight
My thick walled 7/8 is just slightly too big to fit in my 89, and the thin walled slides right in, so I had to sand the thick walled just a hair....so just saying it does matter some times.
korvus has 1.1" of blade depth, much more if you remove the crystal chamber. if you want to heavy duel, then make sure you remove the chamber portion
same manufacturer?
yeah
I think what he's saying is sometimes in the manufacturing process, thin wall vs thick wall can have slightly differing OD measurements
yeah, just slightly...enough to lightly sand
interesting. certainly not supposed to be like that but i can see how that might happen
it's not, and I could have just said "all blades" might need that same little TLC lol
You also have to consider that not all 1" emitters are the same. My 1" blade fits perfectly in most sf emitters, but is super tight in my KR Leia
of course. but if OP just ordered it from S3, he's probably got a blade from them too, and it wouldn't make much sense to sell a blade that doesn't fit well in the saber you manufacture.
my comment was just directed at the impression of thin vs thick wall might have different fits
i vaguely remember a number like 4-5" of blade depth in the Korvus with the chamber removed @bitter idol
you will be just fine.
I don't think that was the OPs main concern. Their concern was that the insert depth wasn't very deep.

mate, i wasn't the one who brought the fit up lol
i was bringing the topic back to his concern
Thank you all, very excited for it to arrive. As for the blade I actually didn't get the sabertrio one, I got a v4 quantum thick wall blade 1in from the custom saber shop.
Thanks. Sorry if we kinda went into water cooler mode! I take the blame.
