There is presumably more you can disassemble from the emitter side to access the other end of the just connector and feed it back out.

Literally had to saw part of it in half but I got it
Highlighted in yellow is where the connecter was where the connector was stuck
where the x is where me and my friend sawed off a bit of the plastic to get the wire back out reconnected with the other port
