#Greyscale Fonts not working on SN-Pixel V4?
30 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
my guess would be that greyscale uses an audio format that isn't the recommended which proffie supports but sn4 doesn't. i would run them through the soundfont coverter and covert them from proffie to proffie and then see if they work on the sn4
should be a link to the converter either in #sabersmithing-resources or in the pins in #electronics-and-sound
I'll give that a try. I also downloaded the app, but my saber doesn't populate as a linkable device.
when did you order it?
Got it the other day. I read in a similar thread about the app and how it can only run 27 active fonts at a time, and they need to be toggled on the app. Problem is, my saber doesn't appear to have Bluetooth, and if it does I have no clue how to activate it.
define "the other day." they started shipping snv4 pro on new orders about a month ago. maybe a month and a half? they use different apps. if you're not using the right app for your board, it won't show in the app
Like literally the day before yesterday. App I'm trying is ForcePark. And the manual that came with it says nothing about any app or how to add/edit fonts.
Alright, I'll look for that now.
ios or android?
Android, I found the apk. Saber isn't populating the list still. Does it need to be toggled on? Or is it always active?
The Bluetooth feature I mean, if it has it.
should always be on, but i haven't used a pro so i can't say with certainty
I appreciate you trying to help regardless
you could see if there's anything on this instruction page that helps https://www.stardustsabers.com/en-us/pages/sn-v4-pro-instructions
None of the apps I've tried work. The saber does not show up as a selectable device to connect to.
I'll try that other suggestion you made earlier but if that doesn't work, the hell with it.
i put a link in electronics. hopefully someone with some experience can pop in
out of curiosity is there any sort of .ini file on the sd card?
What colour is the soundboard? Is the SD card holder facing the back/front or is it facing to the side?
Are you connecting via your phone's list of Bluetooth devices or from the ForcePark app?
For the Greyscale fonts not working I'm not sure. It could be the frequency but there might also be some sound files in there that are naming formatted for Proffie that SN doesn't recognize
This is the board, if that helps any. The phone's list and the app do not show any new devices, so idk what's up on that front.
That is the Pro
You need forcepark V2 app
And I've used some greyscale fonts on it without issue so it should be okay. You do need to "star" them in the app.
You also need to remove the battery to force the SD card to be read
Note that removing the battery causes all.settings to reset.
It is hopefully something that is being fixed with firmware in the future
I will give it a shot. Thanks for the replies, everyone.
