Mine comes tomorrow
Coincidence that the pad looks just like a switch? Haha. So far I only wish for more horsepower. Looks beautiful for what they are working with but man.
wasn't it that in botw too
It was a different device iirc.
yeah still was based on the switch no?
Honestly. Don't remember
Am I the only one that thinks the tutorial section at the beginning is almost identical to botw.
The new powers are neat. I keep dying as I underestimate links jumping skill.
Man. This combat is killing me lol
Good or bad
I thought survivor was bad.
To target guys you have to hold the trigger. To target a new guy out of the group you have to let go. Ain the camera then holdbthe trigger again.
And dodging doesn't work unless you are targeting.
The game itself it super fun. It's my same complaint with most games. Give me full control over what buttons do what on my controller and make combat fluid especially if there are more than 3 attackers.
so as i haven't played botw in forever and a day. combat is almost exactly the same. i just forgot how mediocre it was.
i love fusing random weapons/parts together to make some really odd combinations though.
Haha
||I wonder if the sage of time is/always been Zelda. Like through the other games as well. ||
Not right.
seriously though some of the designs that people are building is nuts. saw somebody with a tank. somebody else with a robot. like what?
Worth it. But man I'm dying so much that my 3 year old is picking up my swearing habits now 🤣
If you have the parts you can make almost anything.
I saw a tank. A robot. Some other nonsense.
It's basically botw with upgrades. Same visuals. Same combat.
You can fuse weapons on the fly instead of armorer
Well fuse and the hand are different but similar.
How are we enjoying it? Im personally liking it better than BOTW so far
i'm loving it. except that the combat is exactly the same as BOTW. a little improvement would have been nice.
also would be nice to be able to remap your controller.
I own the game now. Have yet to play it.
but the powers are cooler. the story is better.
make sure you block off a day once you start haha
So true lol. What part are you at? I barely just got the game on Wednesday but I’m on the way to the four anomalies or whatever they are
i've been floating around all over the place. I finished off the Air/Rito. Haven't pushed any of the others too far yet as I'm trying to get materials so I can upgrade things
This having to chase Sidon down just to get his water power is a pita
First trip to the depths. This is pretty awesome. Great idea.
They really should put stables or something in for the stalhorses. makes traversing down there so much easier and less time consuming
i spent 3 hours just walking around and not actually accomplishing anything lol
Potential quest spoilers: ||I wish that you could have more rooms to your house lmao||
side quest i mean
item spoilers: ||anyone plan on getting the champion weapons and just putting them on display? ||
we are in the spoiler channel. don't think spoiler tags are needed.
i already got the trident. no house as of yet though
Just for big story spoilers, I think. It's unfortunately hard to separate the different types of spoilers.
i can agree with that
oh
whats big to me might not matter to you and so forth. just weird to see haha
i have friends that get mad when i talk about the game so i try to be safe lol
obviously if you error on the side of caution its better than not though
ah
Err. Not error :p
I already have 1 weapon room, I want another for my house but I also want that stable
Avsati have you played the game?
oof
Which is why I'm here.
shush
is it weird that I want the champions weapons just for display in my house? I know that fusing them with monster parts makes them really op
i feel like it would be nice considering how much i liked the champions in botw
If a champion weapon breaks, can you get another
but its also 3 diamonds
just have to figure out where the diamonds are and farm them
by the way, a lot of the amiibo weapons and clothing are in the base game
I keep them for display because I'm not sure if they respawn
its crazy how much they have improved from botw
the damage taken feels off but thats what I think of the first game too
oh thats what i'm saying. that its exactly the same. my same complaints still exist
for example I fight a dungeon boss in one of the main quests and i get hit with an attack that does half of my health
meanwhile later in the game when I have more armour i still get one-shot by a lizalfos with a royal bow
lmao
yeah thats always shit. or get 2 hit by a weapon that takes 37 hits for you to kill the guy with
how you liking the game so far?
I'm taking my time with the story but i think its great
LOADS more content
its giving me the exact same feeling as the first.
yea I love it
no idea how they managed it as the first was so different than every other open world/zelda game
for sure. the puzzles are challenging enough but not too hard for the most part. and short enough to not kill the enjoyment either
the divine beasts felt too much imo. i think they realized it and dialed it back a bit
i do wish the battery upgrades weren't so roundabout to do
yea they are insanely tedious
i had to do some searching to see exactly what to do as the tutorial was quite quick as i wanted to get into the meat of the game
same here
I love inadvertently completing quests before I'm even given them because I like to roam around.
if only they allowed you to cache weapons as "addon" only so you can't use them except as a fusable material
yea
||this construct mech is terrible to drive imo. I'm using more as cover on the side as it just doesn't have the DPS to make it worth while||
||personal opinion but I hate it lol ||
||I only use it to walk over gloom||
Basically the same
The whole of the hero abilities is subpar. Some of it I like more but for the most part it's like this is too much a pita to use
I just turn all of them off
once I dropped my shield because I got hit with an electro arrow, pressed a to pick it up and accidentally ||got on mineru's construct||, and then proceeded to get one shot by a silver boko because I couldnt get off
That's rough.
Been loving the game. I'm getting back into the routine of combat now. Still would like options for things but man I keep getting sidetracked. I'm like a damn squirrel. Oooo shiney
So any of you already through all the story? I'm putting off continuing to find ganondorf. Should probably just do it so I can fuck around
So any of you already through all the story? I'm putting off continuing to find ganondorf. Should probably just do it so I can fuck around
I haven't even started yet LOL
Ive been exploring
i think my biggest gripe right now is similar to a lot of games. after you finish it sets you back to right before the big battle.
my biggest gripes is that the sage abilities are annoying to activate
and that the main story should be longer imo
i agree with the abilities. for the most part i only keep them on when i want them to take fire for me haha
it was so easy to use all the abilities in combat in botw
agreed. i do think having them be able to fight/distract is nice. would prefer button presses or something to trigger
I think they planned for the sages to be npcs that could fight for you and worked around that
seems likely.
I think it’s cool you can find all the DLC outfits from BOTW in the open world
