#THE ACOLYTE
1 messages · Page 11 of 1
I don't want to fight my sister
Honestly I showed up for Aniseya and stayed for Qimir.
As little of her as we got, I found her interesting.
And of course, the character design for her was gorgeous.
I wonder what her first name is
"Mother". /j
I will fight your sister
i figured aniseya was her first name
Considering Aniseya is Mae and Osha's family name, I can see why some if not most would assume the same for Aniseya.
Verosha Aniseya & Mae-ho Aniseya
i did not know that was their last name
"When are we gonna find out Obama's last name?"
"When are we gonna find out Aniseya's last name?"
/lhj
That's what I'm thinking too
I honestly hope we get a season 2 but they take a lot of the constructive criticism to really beef up what is left for a story
Honestly
Kinda lame
Plagueis was neat, but kinda just there
Did not give a single damn about the twins.
The saber fight was neat
The bleed was kinda cool
But like
Eh
I very much enjoyed the show. As far as a jumping off point for this time period and some of the concepts, I think it did the job well enough. It wasn't perfect, but I'm hoping that a second season allows the creators to really dig in more.
Hopefully the torrent of blind hatred from other corners of the Internet doesn't scare Disney away.
Just kinda eh across the board for me
Can’t tell if I like it more than BOBF because that show was also, in my opinion, a bit of a slow, boring mess
With a few cool moments scattered throughout
For both of BoBF and the Acolyte, I agree they were slow, but I didn't find them boring. Again, neither were perfect, but I kind of like the slow burn, slowly reveal details/motivation type of storytelling from time to time.
After the first hand hold on the lightsaber my friends have declared themselves oshaqimir stans and oh my god help me
I just still hate that Vespa speeder chase in BOBF
with a passion
like Jesus Christ
that whole scene couldve been made better if they simply werent so brightly colored
I have a feeling of disappointment with the show but maybe this will go away after more time
I... Don't think Lucasfilm did the right choice with greenlighting Book of Boba Fett
I'd definitely watch it over Kenobi or BoBF but I like Mando, Ahsoka, and Andor more
At least that had the kinda random Mandalorian episodes
But The Acolyte had, like
Episode 5
In my opinion, Robert Rodriguez isn't a good match for Star Wars
I really liked the first two episodes, 3 is weird to think about because of all the backlash, 4 felt hella off with the directing and writing, 5 was good, 6 was intriguing, 7 I'm unsure of, and I feel disappointed with 8
I just liked seeing the saber combat and utility of the Cortosis stuff
I want my sith lore man
although I dunno where his gauntlets were last episode, maybe I missed something.
I enjoyed more TA than BOBF
Yord broke it
Oh yeah
You have to pause to really see it, I posted a picture of it in this chat
This might just be me, but I feel like the camera work and scene lighting failed the duel.
The choreography was fantastic but I thought the camera work and the lighting makes a certain je nais se quois.
(I did not spell that right)
The lighting felt... idk, washed out?
I think part of that is the sabers
The sabers also looked off to me.
The color or just the bulkiness
Because it didn't look like they were rotoscoped.
The sabers look washed out because they had actual, real world light references.
Like, it just hit me. The moving blades have colour blur instead of white cores like we're used to seeing.
Exactly.
And I dunno, some of the moves in the fight just looked a little…unnecessary?
Especially in the outdoor lighting.
That's prequel era dueling for you, I guess.
Any fight scene lasting longer than a minute or so is going to be that way
Not more unnecessary than some of the prequel fight moves, in my opinion
Distances and angles were off, but like
It's fake
They draw out combat because it's fun to watch
Well yeah
Also, they tied in wuxia style combat, so that changed how things looked as well.
NAH
XD
I dunno, guess the show overall had its highs and it’s very low lows
of course your the first one to say something
Honestly I really liked the more airborne, flourish-y wuxia style, though tbf I love Wuxia/Xianxia/Xuanhuan so I'm biased.
That's a fair opinion. In my view, none of the lows of this are specifically worse than any of the other Disney shows.
Cultivation Martial Arts genres are PEAKKK
I really liked that too.
The part where Sol jumped out of the damaged hallway into the courtyard and Qimir followed.
And the Yoda part at the end
I was like "yeah that's taking a leaf outta Wuxia's book", especially with the slowed descent.
👏 we 👏 need 👏 more 👏 wire 👏 fu 👏
You know if they didn't at least tease Yoda, parts of the fan base would be screeching about "Why not get him if this is so important?"
There's a joke among people who watch Asian dramas that swordsmen in C-Dramas jump once and stay fighting in the air for 5 minutes but tbh how far is that from the truth.
I really wanna include wires when I eventually sit and do production but idk how the fuck I'm gonna do a wire rig at home.
Very good point. It's almost as if complaining about that plot point was dumb from the start 😆
Mae might know but she got magic ice picked
This is before getting into the fact that "Flying Swords" are a common trope in Cultivation genres.
(Basically using the sword as transportation. Whether it drags you along or you stand on it hoverpad style)
Like Thor flying with Mjolnir
We kinda already have this in Star Wars in the form of the Inquisitor sabers.
Next up
I gotta avoid any spoilers pertaining to Jedi Survivor
Like a minefield trying to go in blind
I'll just say, super fun game. I haven't finished it yet, but I really dig it so far.
I’m trying to avoid any story beats but man, is it hard
Hey, they're swords and they fly. As much as I hate it, it's technically similar.
Play it
Survivor is a massive improvement on the first game
I like Rebels a lot but the flying sabers make me want to poke my eyes out
Honestly my biggest gripe is the fact that they fold.
Oh yeah, I know
Again, I didn't mind it that much. I'm sort of ambivalent about it.
That's the great part about this universe, there's so many lovable things and hateable things
The rotating track shouldn't work with the way the emitter ring folds.
Just playing through the first level had my jaw dropped with the visuals
Like. The emitter ring being hollow would allow energy to flow through, negating the need for wiring.
And then with the fucking Ninth Sister still being alive too
Maybe hate is the wrong word, dislikable things*
Great reveal and great first boss
But the folding would negate that idea due to the way the ring halves are aligned.
Honestly depending on how small a repulsor lift is, it could feasibly fit inside the emitter ring.
Honestly though I do agree that flight is a bit wild.
Hovering or descent speed regulation, I can get down with.
Like when Maul pushes Eighth Brother off a cliff, only for Eighth Brother to slow his fall using the blades.
But being able to take off is a little out there yeah.
Cal kills vader and makes palps his apprentice
You forgot that Starkiller takes Ben Skywalker as an apprentice and Cal leaves Merrin for Ben.
Don't forget Darth Caedus too.
iPhone autocorrect is spiting me
Skill issue. /lhj
If you're planning on having scenes like this... Why not just actually cast a pair of identical twins?
Yeah that's one of the gripes I have with the show.
Don't get me wrong I liked the actress.
I just can't help but feel like they were cheaping out by only hiring one person to play two people.
I don't think that's a cheaping out thing, and more of a "How many pairs of twins that are actors that can work at this level and are the demographic we're looking for for the story?"
I think for the younger version they used real twins
I believe they did as well
They did
it's also probably easier to find twin children for acting than teen/young adult twins for some reason
Or child acting is easier to forgive being not so great.
Well i mean even though twins may be identical in a whole lotta ways, there's less of a guarantee that they're both going to have aspirations of being an actor. At least with younger children, there's the parents probably pushing both
(not that the parents pushing both to do it is a good thing)
I wasn't critiquing the child actors, I thought they did a great job. I was more speaking to the idea that as an actor gets older, the expectations for their performance are higher. The pool of actors suitable for a given role shrinks. So there are more sets of child actor twins that could pull off a given role.
Tatiana Maslany could have pulled it off better lol
Stunt saber I guess (from Manny's IG)
good god that's a beefy boy
That's a heckin' chonker.
Likely that's intentional. If it's a stunt saber, it only needs to basically look right from afar, and needs to stand up to a lot of abuse.
You're right, the lower shoto portion isn't there. The shorter length contributes to the chonkiness.
i legitimately love how the bleeding looked
Yeah, that was really cool, especially seeing the ignited blade change.
in jedi survivor it seemed like degans crystal just faded from yellow to red. where as here it looks like the crystal itself is actually bleeding. like someone cut their skin and blood is seeping from the wound
Just a heads up, someone here was looking to avoid spoilers for that game.
But I agree, it looking like actual blood was great.
so did hit emitter matrix actually break off or was it just the shroud?
They really gotta focus more on those cool guides that show the internals about that
Highly disagree, but to each their own.
I'm looking at Survivor right now and...the end result is the same?
The blade still turns
Unless I'm missing the differences
Or maybe its how the emotions are put into effect. Cause the process in Survivor was much more meticulous compared to say...Ben's process
i meant like the crystal just looks like you took the hue slider and turned yellow to red. where as here the crystal turns unevenly. like pieces of it are being corrupted but its fighting back still
thats not something they can really get across in comics like ben and vaders
It's like the crystal was cracked when is was thrown to the side, and Osha's rage seeped into the cracks like blood, turning it red. I really liked that interpretation of bleeding a cyber crystal. Literally making it bleed.
I thought bleeding required more focus tbh
🤣
Sith have an uncanny tendency to just chill in caves
Maul, Plagueis, and even Sidious
Cause caves are dope
i mean can you blame them? when you look butt fucking ugly even when compared to the majority of your species youd wanna go hide in a cave too
Also no one will get this reference but he reminds me of a SC1 Protoss
I'd imagine pure, unadulterated rage would do the trick, though. It's not like the Sith have an unhealthy relationship with negative emotions or anything.
Sith are just angy
Kylo failed to bleed his correctly, vader struggled a bit with his.
Though from what Star Wars seems to enjoy telling me:
Girls love bad boys
Vader got that cool alternate reality thing. Almost fooled him for a moment.
i can not cite an official source for this unfortunately cus i dont even remember where i heard it but i believe one of the ways to produce a red crystal was for a dark sider to use it like a jedi crystal and that it would turn red naturally aligning with their dark nature
take it with a grain of salt, like i said i dont remember where i heard it but i swear it was an offical thing somewhere
Kylo had a very strong pull to the light, and Vader fell in more of a tragic way, so I can kind of understand why they had a harder time. Not to mention, Osha and Mae are created from the force, so I could see them having an easier time based on their nature.
Like, the more "evil" deeds done with it, it would turn red? That does sound familiar.
Vernestra fell so hard. :/
Yeah its...kind of appalling actually
I really love her character as a knight, in the books
Like if someone told me that this girl:
https://screenspeck.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/5f329f592241050001d6f521-image_ad6a34cc.jpeg
Would become that in The Acolyte,
I would have sent Avsati after them
I have to imagine there's a reason for that, though. I got the vibe that she, like Sol, is only doing what she thinks is best.
Like, maybe she had a hyperspace vision that she misinterpreted?
I'm not super familiar with her character, but I am aware she's way less uptight in the books.
Stellan would not be proud
Now I wonder how the hell she will explain this to Yoda of all people
She was knighted during jedi 9/11. Went in a war on terror, it was rough
I understand
That puts things in perspective.
Also thought one of her apprentices (qimir) was dead. She may have been responsible
Like, I get it but it's still sad to see
If I had a nickel for every time a character in Star Wars was super upbeat and positive in animation/comics and then be super serious in live action due to war flashbacks, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice
its been a good part of 100 years. look what happened to luke in under 15 years
Ahhh he's fine he has blue milk
Maybe a second season of this show will redeem her character.
Green
yeah it was green
It also looks like Yoda is back in active duty on the council so, it's probably a stricter regime now still
Now the question is:
what the Plagueis doin
Young vernestra is still cool so no big loss
please let that meme die
Like does Qimir know he's there? Probably not
He's going to kill qimir.
But is he going to kill him because he's his apprentice and going against the rule of 2. Or because he's an offshoot sith
I mean Palpatine was okay with the inquisitors right?
But also plag has to learn about the creation of life from qimir or osha
But how is the interesting part. Maybe force energy siphon?
Train him to be strong enough in the force and then take that?
Yeah
plagueis himself broke the rule of two allowing for darth venamis and darth maul to exist while also training sidious
I think Palpatine was initially going to do that with Rey
Rules for thee but not for me
and hell tenebrous also broke it training darth venamis and plagueis at the same time XD
i believe even venamis was looking for his own apprentices as well
Sith gunna sith
I don't think Qimir knows about Plagueis. He's doing his own thing. I think we'll see Plagueis entice Qimir into training, until Qimir realizes that the Sith teachings are just as stifling as the Jedi. Qimir and Plagueis fight, with Qimir losing, but alive. Plagueis takes Osha to train, while Qimir flees to found the Knights of Ren.
The people on Twitter asking who the hell is that beady eyed robed guy makes me laugh xD
Its the dude
At least he’s not the Nightman
did he legit just fucking pump what looks like an ak?
He’s a cloned anthropomorphic hedgehog. I think in this case he’s earned a pump action m4
He's not a clone
oh hes a clone
He's the ultimate artificially created life-form
Sorry. Ultimate Lifeform
He's also over 50
He'd be cooler as a clone.
my mans a clone XD
And his best friend was a little girl who was shot by a military officer
There's seven endings you get before you get the real ending, Clone is one of the seven
Or was it nine
Idk at this point I’ve just taken the Snapcube dubs as sonic canon
So...much...gaming...
It took me forever to get the nine endings when I was younger xD
I'm becoming partial to the Lythero unintended fandub myself lol
sonic omens making maria into a boss was kinda awesome
Especially since Alfred is still Eggman in them
why they made shadow russian is beyond me but still
XD wtf
Heyyyyyy whats upppppp its meeeeeee
STOPPPPPPP
"your an asshole man"
"you are what you eat"
stealing that
Their SSB Brawl dub for April fools was incomprehensibly funny
i love how the fucking music stops the moment he lets off that one liner
"you're a dick"
"You are what you eat"
"huh?"
"I just love Latinos, Sonic."
I promise this is what happens in the show
Original meme: https://twitter.com/KookieStar_22/status/1676349071324241920
"Who's tha- who's that girl? Did yo- Do you know her? Is she a friend? That's kind of cool. Is she alive, do you know her? Is she alive and you go hang out with her? Did you save her, like, 'cause she's your friend? That's awesome, dude. I wish I had a friend like you who could save me if I was ever in danger."
Plag looked really cool what we saw of him
Shoutout to sonic riders having no cutscenes during an integral part of the climax in the story leading to https://youtu.be/QqyA_5g1tF8?si=4oGZ-IMBhS4nepAF
This broke me
Original video here - https://youtu.be/hzrN8_-3e2w
Hard agree. Extremely menacing, he looked like a horror movie monster.
I really liked that.
Get my mans Javier Botet to play him
I'm glad they kept him sorta covered up
so anyone else going for sonic jedi OC's?
Keeps that cool mysterious vibe. And provides bait for a S2 request
Did you draw that?
Javier Botet and Doug Jones. Full prosthetic makeup creep-off. Who's the creepiest?
no XD i looked up edgy sonic oc jedi
I gotta give it to Botet. His proportions due to his conditions really help to sell his performances. No hate to Doug jones though. Loved him as Abe Sapien
That's true. Though, Doug Jones as the Pale Man is the stuff of nightmares.
and with the amount of species in the galaxy, not entirely out of the realm of possibility
One day we shall have a story where the female MC doesn't fall for the Sith/dark jedi baddie
xD
Hand holding? In my Christian sci-fi universe? Blasphemy/j
This is a Buddhist show, @nova slate
Aphra!
Qira
Seen someone saying how Wookiee Jedi are getting tiresome. But like. (And this is kind of a big thing when you think of it) there’s been more instances of yodas species than there has been of Wookiee Jedi
I mean, that's what, 3 for Yoda's species vs 2 for Wookiee Jedi? That complaint doesn't make sense to me.
Even if we take books/comics into account. I believe that’s at least 3 more instances of yodas species. And for sure 3 more wookiee Jedi
Western SW fans overall aren’t ready for wuxia-style choreo
They don't seem ready for anything tbh
please i beg
the show was kind of anti-climactic imho
plot was good
but could've been executed better
The casual Plagueis reveal was actually insane to me. More exciting than Yoda’s predictable appearance in the last second
it wasn't as bad as some of the reviews make out. i think it all worked fairly well to set up more if wanted but also if it just stopped the story they told would be done.
I think people are being harsh on it because of the implications of the show provides in terms of the greater lore
i think the biggest issue wasn't the length of the episodes so much as how they flowed together. if they would have done say 2/3 extended episodes it would have been better for the story overall. but fans would have revolted that we aren't getting that many
I've heard some folk argue that the whole vergence BS just undermines Anakin's chosen one arc
also that the lore is being changed because it is now being retold
from what i'm seeing vergences aren't common but anakin wasn't the first.
he won't be the last
Yea but it wasn't explained well at all
they legit waited till the last episode to explain it
i do think the show was a good start to show the fall of the jedi though. how they like to cover up their messes so as to keep things as the status quo
also a lot of plot details felt like filler
i think if they would have explained earlier it would have hurt the arc of the story they were telling.
which was all about sol.
People also disliked the twins soo much because of how they are written especially from a morality point of view, kept changing sides and whatnot
i guess i could see that. although to me it made sense.
I think all the build up resulted in a weak whiff of excitement and then the lights burnt out
the Plagiues reveal was one last hail mary
i think that was more " somehow palpatine returned" to say he was the one controlling from the background the entire time and none of these people actually had a choice
overall. i enjoyed it. and i want more political intrigue star wars shows
well Qimir is probably the apprentice
he is probably training Osha to overthrow Plagiues
but that won't work cause Plagiues will train Young Palpatine and kill them both
that will probs be how season 2 goes
or maybe he's not the apprentice yet
we have no idea if anybody outside of us knows that plagiues exists
I am 99% sure Qimir knows he exists
might be another apprentice before palpatine anyway
he probably has other apprentices vying for the title of Darth
palps isn't born for awhile yet
all of them are acolytes anyway so they probably compete against one another anyway
Isn't the show 100 years before Ep I
yeah
we don't really have any reason to believe there is more than 2 + osha
we can get into that story now. 😄
Don't we?
Qimir is Vernestra's Pupil
Was.
Plagieus has probably corrupted other Jedi
Qimir probably killed some of em to become the Acoylte
I doubt he is the fully fledged apprentice
the writer said there were two sith in the show
so I'm going to take that as Qimir & Plag
he gave me evil vibes
Oh, I loved it. I was making a joke.
Meh, novel isn't canon anyway so they're likely to change much of it even of they keep using him as a character
didn't he try to make a dyad in canon?
Is this going to turn into plagueis and palpatine attempting manipulate the force to create life like the witches and end in the force making Anakin
Or at least lead to that
doesn't matter if it's canon, its fuckin great
i feel like it will head that way
100% lol
I'm a little mildly disappointed they referenced the skywalker saga at all tbh
I feel like we already know all we need to about how/why anakin was born
i more mean I don't think its necessary
yeah, it's better as a mystery anyway
takes away some of the mystery
except we do know the Sith did not make anakin
yeah my thoughts exactly
I think they feel if they step too far away from the Skywalker saga, it’ll alienate the more casual fans.
not specific to SW but I think there is a general trend towards audiences being uncomfortable with ambiguity
100% and it pisses me off
It's also kind of hard not to reference the skywalker saga considering it's one of the most pivotal moments in the universe.
it's not a huge deal. I just think I would have enjoyed the show more in a vacuum
talking about sith 200 years in either direction is going to have connections to it.
#SolDidNothingWrong
I rarely watch 1 and 2 so I kind of forgot about it.
The show was left wide open with some insight to who Qimir is. There will be a season 2 to follow up with all of this. I still think Sol's reasoning for the whole destruction of the witch coven and wanting Osha needs expanded on. All of this was because of Sol and never explained why.
He did explain why.
"Holy shit, this dark side witch coven CREATED LIFE WITH A FORCE VERGENCE??? FUUUUUUcckkk that's danger!"
He stabbed Aseniya because she was doing "weird aggressive magic witch stuff" right next to him.
All he knew was Osha/Mae were a/in danger and Mae & Mommy were both dissipating into weird shadow mist at the same time
We don't know exactly what Ascension was (my guess is either essence transfer or merging Mae/Osha) but Mae told Sol it was a "sacrifice"
Vernestra: "we must find your twin sister."
Mae: ".... Sister? So I have a twin sister??"
Now Sol's failure is complete.
Sorry. Sol is completely in the wrong. He made wild assumptions and acted without real evidence or authorization. He and the homesick Padawan are 100% responsible for what occurred.
Sol got everything he deserved.
Nah its Mogs fault
This.
My man had real evidence that the children were being abused XD
But yes he should’ve kept his nose out of where it didn’t belong
(Wrong spelling I know but I couldn’t help it)
You finished the dlc yet
I couldn't find a version of this meme with six people
Kelnacca I think is innocent.
All he did was get possessed. Mans did his job right the entire rest of the time.
I did, I’ve been multitasking since with leading my friend through a seamless coop run, finally taking on DS3 and completing Ultrakill’s layer 7
Like what? He knew of a vergence, saw 2 kids, spied on some training and said we gotta train these kids to be Jedi. They can't be witches!!
Except he hid the truth after the fact.
He had ptsd. He's excused.
He needed therapy
No sane wookie exiles himself and starts carving witch symbols into the walls
Not guilty due to insanity.
Fair
I mean if I was possessed for a bit and slammed my friends around while being known as a strong ass species who has had problems with their people going mad to the point there’s a name for it, I’d be afraid to get anywhere near any other allies for the time being
Koril seemed like a bad person
One out of........ How many?
Power of many
Qimir has a whip scar on his back. Not all Jedi are really all that good, either.
Mother Aniseya mightve just been reaching for her license at the cop checkpoint.
The only thing he seen of their training was their mother shoving them over with the force, then attempting to do so again and one of them hiding away from it. Then one of them saying how everyone needed to be sacrificed, and the other telling him they’re telling her to lie so they don’t take them away
Yeah I wonder if that was before or after he turned.
She does seem like an angry person
She's been through a lot.
Maybe Koril has too.
We also don’t really know the order’s overall stance on “witches” as well. Is the order the “we alone know how to use the force and anyone else who says so is either evil or lying” or “if I don’t see it then I don’t care” type of governing
He saw very little, and jumped to a conclusion. Had he seen the care and Aniseya's granting of OSHA to train, he would have had a clearer picture. My point stands, he jumped to conclusions. The wrong ones.
She became bald and started torturing people who have hair/j
She saw sol with those luscious locks and got jealous
And no one is disagreeing with you. He should’ve kept his nose out of where it did t belong. From his point of view though he was doing the right thing
Just saw a comment reading "Osha bleeding her crystal that easily doesn't make sense"
Mans has never been truly angry at someone, it seems.
Like... imagine finding out your entire life and everything you suffered through was a damn lie, and the one who lied to you was stringing you along the whole time.
If humans can be angry enough for their internal blood vessels to rupture to the point of needing Emergency Surgery, then they surely can become angry enough to bleed a Kyber Crystal.
That's literally "the Jedi way" though.
No one else is allowed to use the Force that the Jedi think are a threat. It's been a thing/theme for ages.
There's nothing canon about the Nightsisters interactions with the Jedi prior to TCW, but given the whole groups reaction to "omg witches? Here?!" alludes to them either not being known or not being known to leave Dathomir.
Lots of angry people regarding the Crystal bleeding scene
Again:
Apparently because of this “anakins saber should’ve turned red the moment he started slaughtering the tuskens”
GROAN
I think people are missing the fact that osha was literally touching the exposed Crystal
And has power she has no idea how to control
Osha has that deep-seated familial anger towards Sol, and as someone who lives in a formerly-abusive Asian household, yeah. I feel for her.
Wasn’t that saber destroyed anyways during the factory fight? So even if it did bleed, it would have been gotten rid of very quickly after
Sol's real concern (which was alluded to but not said outright) was that the Jedi would kill Osha and Mae for being too powerful.
They're too old to train. Their coven was using the dark side. They're super powerful.
That's a danger to the "galactic peace". Sol impulsively did what he thought would prevent that, plus other "shit going wrong" (i.e. Mae's fire)
I feel like so many people missed this shot
What I find interesting is how is the lightsaber still functioning with its crystal out like that
same energy
Either I’m tripping or it looks like there’s some veins going towards the crystal on her hand?
That is the power of the dark side
If it was intentional, that’s some insane detail, but if not then damn, still cool anyways
I have to wonder if Kelnacca's PTSD fueled exile is an oblique reference to the idea of a Madclaw.
Would Krrsantan be a madclaw then? Or no since he also utilized weaponry?
I would say yes, because didn’t he use his teeth in the fight with boba?
And he’s said to have been exiled from Kashyyyk for “unknown reasons”
Got these from remnicore on instagram
I had forgotten about that, but you're right. I remember being a Madclaw was a thing in KOTOR, but I don't know if it still holds. They don't mention it in any of the films or TV, I don't think.
How dare you put me on blast like this.
Darth Plagueis is so relatable
Also maybe this is my halo brain but his appearance in this show reminds me of the Didact concept art for halo 5
we are all darth plageuis at 3am
I still think my favorite saber throw is the javelin toss that you did in TFU
Like I said before, it's not totally weird that it happens, what's weird is the complete lack of disciplinary actions when it does
"they're making the jedi look bad" "the disney jedi are incompetent" WRONG. Clearly they're trying to show how Yoda was right to start beef with an 8 year old/j
It's also not her crystal. Don't the Sith need to bleed a Jedi crystal? Vader would have had his own/ Anakin's.
nah, see back then when ep3 released, the reds were synthetic crystals
bleeding is def a cooler way of doing it though
agreed. additionally, i believe the wild assumptions he was making was just him seeing what he wanted to see. seemed to me like he couldn't let go of this connection/feeling that osha was meant to be his padawan
synthetic crystals can be cool if they make the process super dangerous or something rather than just "hey turn on the synth crystal machine"
I think the idea was that crafting one was a dangerous process and failed a lot
maul saw his crafting of two synthetic crystals as a mark of his superiority over the jedi
based on Wookiepedia's entry it seems as though the danger was more due to the crystal itself rather than the machining process? since compressed or unstable versions exist and seem like they are more problematic than a standard one. also seemed like opinions were split within the order as to whether they were good enough or not, with a few believing it was better than collecting natural ones?
oh wait some people are saying that mediating near the machine to flow the force into it was a part of the process, and that failing to do so would make a failed crystal, so there is some stakes to doing it
Cortosis earrings maybe?!
I’d give the finale a 7/10.
The Osha/Mae stuff was a bit cringey, but other than that I pretty much enjoyed everything else.
There’s some great shots of stances and preparing sabers that felt a little different from what we’ve seen before.
could someone explain why was plagueis in the cave ?
he was waking up from his nap
He also wanted to ogle Qimir.
He wanted to get a look at those arms.
Plagueis hanging out to steal @weary sable 's bf 😆
same
He's just chilling in that cave, all "I am the Dark Lord of the Sith, and my pow.... daaaamn, what them arms do?"
Nah he's my father in law.
Also, Qimir's no longer my bf.
This is probably a terrible way to say we're engaged.
I need Kyberphonic to release Acolyte fonts so bad.
I think Juansith posted some earlier today.
Will look into it.
Ah, he posted videos in #electronics-and-sound
Thank you, was also looking for this
Happy to help ☺️
HE MADE A GARA FROM WARFRAME SOUNDFONT 😭😭
One of these days I will play with soundfonts, I have 34 of them on my darkwolf and I want to replace one with a halo energy sword
I'm gonna change some stuff around on my current proffie neopixel probably this weekend. I have ideas.
I'm guessing Juan's fonts mainly work with neo pixels and higher level boards? All I got is a xenopixel baselit
Whether it's baselit or neopixel shouldn't affect the sound files. I believe different boards require different file types, but they should be pretty universal with any board on which you can modify fonts and blade styles.
I see they interrupted Yoda's daily ketamine bender for this news
Ketamine user Yoda is some deep cut legends lore
The real answer is so that they could say they put him in the show, there's nothing actually gained by showing him
Season 2 setup
the real answer is because we crave lil cute gremlins in caves to build theories around
Little? Cute?? Hell no.
But he is a gremlin, and I will give you that.
coward
Weirdo,,, /lhj
Is it bad of me that I’m seriously disappointed in channels like Star Wars theory. Dude has a massive audience and instead of portraying the acolyte like it really is he proceeds to intentionally spread false information to people who won’t listen to literally anything else
Stop giving him any attention. Even negative attention benefits clowns like that.
Trust me now that the shows over I probably won’t click on his channel again
I've never looked at his channel, he's not on my radar and I'm all the better for it. I have no clue what he's saying or doing. So I can't be bothered by the nonsense.
If you know it's trash, rage/click bait, why click at all??
he makes boat loads of money from people clicking on his videos so it's in his interest to be as extreme as possible
Now you know better.
he hasn't discussed SW in good faith for years
I'd wager 20-30% of his viewing audience is people who hate what he has to say.
Yea definitely
Me if I ever meet Theory
My man has far larger an audience than someone like generation tech for example who’s been quite supportive of the show. Dude can afford to not be straight toxic XD
it doesn't really matter if people agree with him or not so long as they click/ and or link his videos
I wouldn't know him from Adam.
Star Wars has always been about hope
Who the fuck is Adam
Not only afford it, but it's what makes him successful.
Exactly
But that's YouTube. Not Star Wars.
knowing him what if he socks u
Sock him back?? With a baseball bat?? Damn, if he hits you first you got the right to defend yourself by law.
If ever I met him I’d say some shit like “off the record, do your videos accurate portray how you see the acolyte or is it playing to the algorithm for the sake of profit”
And his answer would determine how I’d go from there
Why would he answer you truthfully? You'd get the YouTube personality, not real life.
Then one of us might be walking away with out kneecaps. I won’t say who but im sure you can guess
wouldn't be worth it tbh mate
HEY.
He'd turn into content anyway. "I was attacked by the woke Mafia"
He benefits from any attention at all. The only way to affect him is to pretend he doesn't even exist.
Boycott SWT? No problem, he's never on my feed anyways.
Also, what was this??
SWT? the guy who wanted to see Plag in the Acolyte?
The guy who complained when he saw Plag in the Acolyte?
The guy who won’t shut the hell up about his saber shop?
The guy whose saber shop is highkey shit because it marks up?
The guy who said filoni took his Ahsoka script
(and the guy who wanted them to bring back Darth fucking maul in Ahsoka)
Adam?
Adam from Hazbin Hotel?
XD seriously?
All I can think of when I hear Adam is that one meme of that duck Adam
Yeahhhhh
He says he wants good stories but then his good story is just bring back mace windu to have Vader kill him again
I know samljackson would be down to bring windu back but I legitimately hope we never see the character again post empire
I really wanna read SWT's fanfic since I'm morbidly curious about the quality, and also the "Force Freeze" thing interests me, unfortunately.
I don't want to talk too much on him but it's extremely disappointing that he's the biggest SW YouTuber
force freeze like the thing kylo does?
My guy says he hasn’t had fun with Star Wars since mando 2 but at the end of the acolyte says how he wishes it could’ve been fun like in ahsoka or what ever
Apparently it's literal Cryokinesis?
To be fair, we've seen a form of Pyrokinesis performed by Sidious, though that used Sith Magic.
Again, I'm morbidly curious.
If guy hasn't had fun with star wars, then why doesn't he expand into other franchises or just talk about legends? Like I haven't had fun with Halo but I'm not about to spend my days being like "343 bad"
I think he secretly loves it, but doesn't feel like such adoration gets as much views.
I legitimately hope that this is the case
He kinda has this approach with Andor, but in reverse
I honestly genuinely hope that is what’s up
It doesn't matter either way. He makes trash content and no one should pay attention to him.
He doesn't like it, but he will get clapped by his audience if he doesn't say it's good
Idk if I was him, I'd just go back into Legends and never talk about Disney canon, god knows there's enough content in Legends
Old Republic isn't dead yet
Omw to become a Star Wars YouTuber with excessively positive content.
Based
Lots of people can't seem to differentiate 'bad' and 'not enjoyable' as well.
Or can't word actual criticisms properly.
weekly short of how sexy qimir is
Yes.
I feel like there's also an additional thing where the concept of okay, middle, or average is just non-existent in cultural discourse
Yup it's either amazing or shit
I love how noticeably shorter qimirs second saber is
Smol bean
I feel like with ahsoka her shoto was only slightly shorter, barely noticeable. Like either saber could very well be a primary. Where as qimirs thing looks like it’s half the length of his primary
It feels like the last time I heard a movie was just average was like Force Awakens
It doesn’t help now either that mid apparently means bad
Wookieepedia also described it as a lightdagger, which idk if that's supposed to be different from a shoto
There are only two genders: good and bad
Well when you’re raised on exclusively “black and white” “blue and red” dichotomy stories while also living under a system that encourages that kinda thinking, you’re gonna be less willing to see a grey areas. Not to mention the amount of people who never really outgrew their high school ideology of “maybe the curtains are just blue” will make it even harder to see nuance in stories
Based and nuancepilled
For japanese swords, a shoto is usually 30-60cm. Shorter than that is a tanto.
Roughly
In the world of Star Wars though, a Shoto and a Lightdagger are synonymous iirc
It's possible his shorter saber is only 1 shaku in length but I also don't know if it's different for the star wars universe lol
I’ve also personally noticed a push on how it’s impossible to be grey in Star Wars. Even referring to in universe people seem to be convinced there is no in between you are either light or dark, grey is impossible apparently
It's been said that you cannot be both light side and dark side, though.
And yet the je’daii thrived for thousands of years doing just that
Grey in SW would probably be like Ahsoka, a force sensitive who sticks to the light and is not a Jedi
Which aren't canon.
And weren't really ever solidly canon
Canon be damned it’s all Star Wars
Until a time when canon directly contradicts it legends still stands
Yeah it is. But if you're trying to have a discussion about a cohesive universe, talking about stuff that was never actually canon doesn't help lol
Something about Disney canon confirming that once you use the Dark Side, you're stuck with it, right? That balance is physically impossible?
I mean, you can come back from the dark side, Kylo and Vader both do
Difference being though that they had someone to pull them back. They didn’t do it on their own
||Cal Kestis|| does too, though we don't know where his story will end
You can, but they’re often treated as exceptions to the rules
Even the s2 Jedi holocron references this
Cal is no exception either as he had Merrin to pull him back
They don't seem to retain any Dark Side though, it seems. It feels like an on/off switch, outside of ||Cal Kestis, but he's a fucking videogame character||.
You either fall into the dark side forever, or are redeemed. There's no straddling the line in the middle
^
I legitimately hate George for saying that light is balance. We seen what a thousand years of light did to the galaxy.
It’s hard to make your universe nuanced and grey when your entire magic system that’s kinda gotten people interested in the series is so heavily focused on “good and evil” with no room for the middle. They’ve been doing a decent job trying to flesh it out, making the Jedi more human and making mistakes, but unless they actually re-write the system (or god forbid actually abandon it) SW is sorta stuck in the black and white
^
It can be cosmically black/white and more nuanced on a personal level.
The galaxy during the time of the prequels may be “at peace” but it is certainly not in balance.
This is something I will absolutely fucking fight XD
The issue isn't the light. It's the connection to the senate.
and overconfidence it would seem
Legit want to see that XD
They’re sedate, stuck in their ways, overconfident. They legitimately refused to believe there was a sith out there until quigon death and I’m confident that they would’ve still discounted it if it wasn’t for obiwan having survived and defeated maul himself
This also isn't a problem with the light. This is a problem with the jedi.
the human error when controlling the power of what can be equated to Gods
I honestly love how Warcraft has been leaning into the fanatical zealotry of the Light over the last few expansions. Portrayed as "the good side" since the first RTS game a now it's reaching a tipping point.
Current Star Wars seems to be going the same way that either extreme is "out of balance".
I mean we're seeing that unfold with the Acolyte and what Sol did.
I would argue this is actually an issue with the light. They’ve been bathed in the light for so long because the Jedi refuse to see any other way. They genuinely believe their own hype that much that they’re brainwashed into thinking they are the ultimate good in the galaxy.
Weirdly enough I think it's a good analogy to younger generations leaving the faiths of their families, as they probably don't feel the same about it as their family, and in some cases can break them apart
When you go into the Dark, you lose your sight.
Stare into the Light, and you will go blind.
Exactly this
A flaw of people.
Unless you want to look at the legends characters who were so into the light that they were functionally immortal because they reached an enlightened state of peace
Jedi Master Fay be like:
The fact that her longevity was described as "a reward from the Force", as well...
(I think, don't quote me on that)
Basically yeah lol
A basically divine incarnation of Good isn't the problem
People are shitheads, that's the problem
Misinterpretations happen, especially when your divine figure doesn't have a host or any real way to communicate clearly. We've seen wars and crusades due to these the figureheads choosing to utilize their power for personal gain. It's not necessarily the problem of the belief, but the problem of those who use it to further themselves
Yeah
And when the govt you're attached to means you can't go out of your way to free slaves :^)
"We can take the Chosen One, but we sure as hell can't relocate his mother and ensure her safety to give him some peace of mind."
"This decision will have a negligible impact on our future."
really shitty of the council but I can also see why they wouldn't. It would involve probably getting the Republic involved in the outer rim, a place they have little jurisdiction over, and then would have to deal with the Hutt crime empire, which is another thorn in the side to deal with. Far from impossible for them, but the politics of it unfortunately make sense. Definitely could have led a covert ops mission though to get her out
That's my point. The jedi were too attached to the republic.
The Jedi could've done that operation discreetly, as well.
It wouldn't be hard to reason with, pay, or heck even kill Watto and dismantle the detonator on Shmi if it came down to it.
they're like that one relative who's super straight-edge and really strict, but you find out that they were the college kid with a Che shirt and went to a buncha protests, etc etc
They care more about preserving life than what "life" entails.
This is why Anakin's lesson was "live or die", not "survive or die".
If you want a universe with light and dark and both sides can be good and evil, have I got the franchise for you
DESTINY
We have @vast plank
I already got rid of that addiction thanks though
Valid
I like how they made light and dark more nuanced in game during covid and after
Off topic but I did not realize this dude was the chancellor
Drellik is his name apparently
how long does a supreme chancellors term last?
seems as though it was 2 consecutive 4 year terms, same as irl presidency
If so, wouldn't that mean that Palpatine was beyond a 2nd term by attack of the clones?
I could've sworn that AotC was 10 years after TPM
i believe they even mentioned this in revenge of the sith
Who's got the best saber in the show
4
7
1
Sol
🌞
But what would cause emergency powers by then, if this was the case then by republic law he would've been replaced 2 years before AotC
He gets emergency powers in the events of AotC but I don't remember before, though it has been awhile since I've seen Clones
I didn't think he was supreme chancellor the whole time and a regular one for some of that time
if i had seen it, kelnacca
He had my vote
As much as I love Qimir, I had to hand it to Sol
I want to see the full profile of Yord's. I thought it would be two shrouds like Sol's based on that premiere photo, but it appears to have bunny ears instead
My best guess is that due to Valorum being removed in the middle of his term, they allowed for Palpatinr to take his remaining years in office without affecting his 2 terms
Well I mean they had Amidala call for a vote of no confidence which led to him being removed from power which makes me assume he was ousted?
Yeah it makes sense, it just didn't click to me that he was in the middle of his term
Ah it says he was more toward the end of his term. But seeing other responses, it looks like the Senate asked him to stay as chancellor to help deal with secessionists joining the CIS, which then eventually led to the war which granted him power long past term limits
Some are saying that the Secessionist movement led to Senate members temporarily abolishing the term limit law as well
That's not as important as the fact that it's a sensory deprivation device.
The stuff you could do with that, knowing that it's sensory deprivation...
the fact that qimir is going all of this stuff pretty much just through his use of the force
He fights with Force Sense.
Remember how Palpatine said the Sith were superior to the Jedi in ability and had outgrown the need for lightsabers?
I feel like Qimir's skill in the Force is not helping the counterargument.
Whoops my hand slipped
He broke the hand plate and it'll need sanding to remove the excess glue but whatever
I mean... It's not entirely wrong
special metal helmet made to counter their main enemy? ✅
Blocks out telepathic abilities?✅
slightly benefits powers for user?✅
Isn't the third one the differing point?
apparently magneto's helmet gives him limited telepathic abilities due to how it interacts with his powers according to marvel so i guess not
So since we have a bled crystal now. I wanna see someone in live action purify a crystal
Report him for assault and battery, lawyer up, hit the gym, delete Facebook again.
We got a bled crystal in Survivor. Although not live action I wish we got a bleeding sequence where the saber uses the force to fight back. Same thing for the purifying process it would be cool to see some more challenge to it other a someone mad.
Osha’s bled crystal was kinda disappointing because it wasn’t an intentional process like previous implications make it seem it needed to be. Anakin had gotten pretty mad at those Tuskens and savagely wiped out a whole tribe and somehow his didn’t bleed. But Osha gets upset for 2 seconds with barely any force power control and it bleeds
I don’t think they thought about it too hard and just decided it would be a cool visual. It does have unfortunate implications for the lore
I've heard some interesting theories behind it
one being something along the lines of sols connection to that crystal was already kind of corrupted due to his grief/guilt over 16 years which made it easier for the crystal to be bled by Osha who at the time was only fuelled by anger
i think the crystal has to be exposed/touched in order for it to be bled
I’m thinking the same because sols saber was damaged to a point where osha could touch the crystal. And we seen anakin, Ben, and dagen open their sabers to get access to the crystals to bleed them
Yeah they kinda made it pretty obvious that the crystal was very exposed with multiple shots of it.
I genuinely think a lot of people completely missed those shots
because people talk about it only turning red after osha ignites it
Love this take, wish more people had this line of thinking. Especially when it comes to space magic, I don't think it needs to conform to a set A, B, C because that makes it less mystical
what do you mean "barely any force power control"?
she's channeling the dark side and force-choking Sol to death while physically touching the exposed kyber crystal
Kylo was clenching his crystal in his fist
and his broke
he still took the crystal out of his saber. i think the only one who didnt physically take the crystal out was dagen but he still had the crystal matrix exposed
so by that and the scene with Osha, it can inferred that physical contact makes it easier / allows more "energy" to the shoved into it in a shorter time
since Vader and Dagan just "meditated" on theirs and it seemingly took more effort
he did, it was floating in the air before the camera panned to Cal
think you can also see him putting it back in once he bleeds it too
alright never mind then XD i never got to that point in survivor, i only watched other peoples cut scenes in the background
It's still like pretty obvious that Sols crystal was exposed.
Exposure
When your content has devloved from Shitty fanfics to bitching/whining/grifting online
LMAOOOOOO
Theory proving more and more he's just a Prequels fanboi simping for the character you're not actually supposed to be rooting for Anakin
can't even separate the EU/Legends fanfiction from canon anymore lol
oddly enough though, seems like he never actually read the Darth Plagueis novel anyway since all of his arguments are just made up on stuff that never happened in it
If Prequels or Clone Wars came out today he'd have a whole plethora of excuses and other BS lined up
- Why is Anakin such a moody bitch? Can't they write main characters better smh.
- Can they stfu about politics? I don't give a shit about corruption in the senate, I just wanna see Jedi slicing droids in half.
- Why does Padme have such weird hairdos? It is soo distracting, can they pls make her bland, I can't focus on the scene.
- UGH why tf is Palpatine and Yoda doing all of these acrobatics, wtf is this? Cirque du Soleil? I wanna see some 7th Saumrai Katana bashing
You can't win with these cunts lmao
they know exactly what they are doing
hes just a sexist weirdo who thinks every new sw show is not canon cause it contradicts the eu
not if this is Deja Vu I swear I just saw a post in LFG with the exact same pfp and name in the D2 LFG queuing for WR Final boss
wtf is reality
am I going insane
same
yes
I used to watch his shitty fan fics back in the sequel era
I was a dumb kid back then lmao
his content has dipped straight down ever since he did his face reveal
if ever you see one click the little "dont recommend channel" button
I didn't notice her veins, not sure if intentional or just her veins but it's a nice touch
is it just me or does it seem like sols crystal was dislodged from its housing?
I sure hope it’s intentional, cause that would be a pretty cool visual
plot twist. its not intentional. justs just got really noticable black veins in her hands XD
It was
For me, it makes me wonder how it's working
legit, im surprised im not seeing mor outrage for how the sabers are working still
crystal was dislodged, emitter was knocked off. saber somehow still works
Oh his fanfics were on video?? This whole time I thought I'd be able to read them and react.
I'm not watching his videos bruh, hard pass.
every saber seems to be unique in some way, this isn't really an issue
Someone needs to send and subsequently pin this in one of the non-spoiler channels after the Spoiler Embargo ends in two weeks because I feel like more people need to see and hear this.
huyang up here having a fucking fit XD
Look at Kylo's
the crystal is right near the top too
probably still visible through the top
Who knows if the rotation of the crystal also matters?
huyang still definitely having a fit somewhere in peridea
Back in the day, lets say 2015-2017
most of his "content" was copying wiki articles to make fanfics.
What if Windu prevented Anakin from turning to the Darkside
What if Anakin killed Palps
What if Windu killed Palps
etc
etc
most of them were the copy-paste format type of videos
but they were "somewhat" entertaining, dude built his fanbase with those types of videos
Most likely, using a busted up lightsaber is pretty shameful, but for what needed to get the job done? Could be worse options
gradually as the sequels wrapped up he did his face reveal and adopted to a more commentary style of content
it was ok at first
but I guess after the "disappointment" of TLJ and TROS he started really relying on the whiney bitch content
it was 0k and a bit tame at first but then it got insufferable
I used to watch him back in the *let's jut say * post TFA era
most of his "fanfics" would have the same twists and stuff was more "hopeful" back then cause people thought the Snoke character was a new idea and completely isolated from Palpatine
I agreed with his takes regarding the sequels I am not ashamed to admit back then
and still do agree to some aspects
but I am just tired of the fucking negativity
now he just nitpicks every tiny thing
there was also some drama with him and a "fan" whom he removed from his "group chat" or something for calling him out on which was just immature
Don't forget his Vader fan film
I was more interested in his OC who apparently developed Force Freeze (Cryokinesis) after being stranded on an ice planet.
Which I think was the inspo behind his tactical missile saber that SP designed before he quit sabers altogether.
Like... I could see that working but knowing Theory it's probably badly executed.... I wanna see how badly.
Cryo and Pyro force powers actually make a lot of sense
It'd really just be either slowly particles down to 0, or speeding them up.
both are things the force should be able to do
We've already seen a form of Pyrokinesis as well in Rebels, albeit through Sith Magic.
Star Wars theory has another content creator on Nerd Theory, where he then says he has a problem with Theory’s channel and from there on it gets a little awkward...
Niatoos was a total cunt to this guy
the funny part is the dumbass fans actually agree with him lmao
Dude cannot take any criticism
I don't understand his obsesion with Order 66 and Op Knightfall
I feel bad for whoever got shit on by Theory.
I honestly feel bad for the dude
he didn't deserve that at all
dude's fans have become a hive mind
Theory not liking the High Republic sounds wild to me given how much people praise it.
Also, the fact that Lucasfilm themselves shunned him is fucking wild.
and I reckon he attracts more politically motivated people nowadays than actual Star Wars fans
"He uses the fact that he was bullied as a kid to excuse his behaviour," is the absolute most disgusting thing on there, to me personally.
I was bullied as a kid and I use it as motivation to try my best and be understanding and open-minded, not to tear down others.
That's like actually horrible what the fuck. It's the same mentality as parents who abuse their kids because they were abused.
I was gonna say, hasn’t he aligned himself with some pretty sketchy dudes as of recently?
*Aside from a select few.
agreed
most plagirize and peddle the same brain-rot
EC Henry is now one of my favourites
the "hate-bait" crowd
Star War bad cause POC whamen in it
waah waaah
same BS we have been hearing since TLJ
FYI, I disliked TLJ too
but never ever for the reasons as the people with a charged "agenda"
It’s far from my favorite, but it has its moments. Pacing was mostly the weird part to me
Again. I told an old lady that people were calling The Acolyte woke for having a black female with two moms as the main character and she deadass replied "That's it?" to me with the most "bruh" tone an old lady can muster.
It's wild what people will hate on.
It's crazy that I can't openly be a Sequel Fan without a target on my back.
It's not just that
But you know what? I don't give a shit anymore. The Force Awakens is my favourite Star Wars movie of all time. All the haters can smd.
I think they dislike Lesley Headland cause she is gay or something
also cause Amandla is a Nepo baby
also since Lesley was Weinstiens secretary or something
IDK hollywood gossip is trashy lmao
more power to yousa
She is? I thought that was part of their hate tactics
She is Queer? IDK
I don't pay attention to that sort of stuff
They don't liker her cause it has something do with gay stuff or something
Nah I think it's because she's queer.
Huh. Well good for her then
She's an active advocate of queer rights + she's lesbian + demigender (like yours truly).
People got mad when an interview mentioned that the Acolyte was the gayest show ever
whatever that means?
The irony that most of the chemistry is between Qimir and Osha. You know, a heterosexual couple.
I can think of 3 shows that can easily take that spot
Love, Victor ought to be one of them since it's literally about gay people.
Our Flag Means Death is apparently also pretty gay and people loved that.
Surprised no one got mad at the trans actress in Acolyte
Amandla Strenberg Response to Star Wars Fans The Acolyte | Tiktok Song DISCCOURSE | Juneteenth
The Acolyte is set at the end of the Star Wars franchise's High Republic era, approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). It sees a respected Jedi Master investigating a series of crimes that bring him into contac...
Yes and Vernestra's actress is her wife
Willing to be all the straight men are jealous of Leslye Headland for scoring a hottie.
Like I'm gay and I will admit that Vernestra's actress is hot LOL
I think theres an argument to made about the nepotism or whatever but that's not what people are making normally
Yea but counterpoint: woman with short hair is basically man which makes it gay/s
still sad they made her bald lol
G&G, Mauler, The Critical Drinker and those pricks
Bruh I figured everyone would get so mad an actual leftist trans philospher would be in the show but everyone forgot about Abigail thorn
like I said, I don't really pay attention to things like that,
If you are gay, good for you
People care way too much about the personal lives of celebs
like it's none of my business
I had no idea either until yesterday.
It's not noticeable.
Also I read that reddit post, kinda shit of him to clown on SWE, like why would you try to antagonize Alex and Molly? They're so sweet
but YTers are worse than tabloids
Gods gender standards make me so mad.
Men can have long hair but women with short hair are too boyish?
Women wearing pants is fine, but guys wearing skirts is too much?
If something applies one way then it should apply the other way, no?
Acolyte bad cause Lesley gay
wojack face
1 reason and 1 reason only: clout
It stirs drama, and therefore attention, which in this age means money.
When I take off my glasses
Oh no guys with long hair are still considered weird in the gender standards. It’s just easier to justify as some manly shit if you look good.
The Andrew Taint of Star Wars
It is such brain rot
eff that dude
2 bit grifter
what colour is your bugatti
I traffick women
and sell courses on how to become billionaire
His fight with Greta was the best thing ever
IDK why people give that guy any attention
I saw a post where he openly said the N-word on Twitter
Didn't they marry after the show wrapped
I'm asking you
I didn't even know they were in a relationship
2016
I have no idea, I just know Rebecca Henderson and Headland are romantically involved

really helps to curate your own feed.
Reasons I've started migrating to Bluesky.
Is it good?
You can buy an account verification, and you can get money through verification by the amount of interactions your account gets, and you can also buy bots to increase your account's interactions
It takes some getting used to, but I've enjoyed it thus far.
Also that
The only good thing is the community notes
Other than that it sucks
Twitter Community Notes clowning on people is one of my favourite genres of internet.
(Twitter)
Also, it's crazy to me that people get mad when you call "X" Twitter.
Like oh so you'll deadname your niece but start giving a shit when it's an online platform? Fuck off.
Specially when Musk gets noted
Okay so maybe it's just me but I feel like all social media platforms around days of contribute to the enshitification of the overall user experience.
Twitter to me has always felt like a echo chamber for celebrities other influencers to whine and bitch about brain rot.
Also ever since Musk took over, it just feels like open season for everything under the guise of free speech LOL
Yes. But it also depends on how you cultivate your own feeds.
Like my Twitter feed is fine, I barely see toxic shit and I'm on the app a lot
If it weren’t for Musk having other companies already to help with shit I’d have been surprised that it made it past the first month when he fired everyone and fucked over the servers
Me when all I use Twitter for is to follow the artists I like.
A lot of Japanese artists use Twitter and Pixiv, but since Pixiv as a platform is primarily in Japanese, I use Twitter to keep up with them lol
Yeah i use pixiv for that. Joys of knowing the language lol
If people interact with shit, you're going to see more shit.
So if you don't want to see it, remove it when you do. Ez.
I just hate that twitter changed the viewing experience to where you can only view things chronologically if you have an account
Like I’m trying to figure out if there’s any network issues, not trying to see tweets from 3 years ago
Aw dang, I'm jealous. Reading Katakana doesn't come to me easily, not to mention learning JP on top of KR is a bit difficult ^^;;
This really doesn't matter whatsoever from what I've seen at all.
I got into the Tiktok space back in 2022. My feed was mostly Star Wars and Gym related stuff cause those were the sort of clips that I went towards. But around 2023 Tiktok pushed content I never cared for at all. Now IK they have a super stalky track you all the time FYP algorithm, but they kept feeding me sludge content (screen split on have with some random crafts on one sand and a clip of some movie on another), grifty get rich quick "finance" content and "reddit stories" even though I never searched for any of em whatsoever
Twitter also has a habit of showing be celebrity tabloids which I don't really care about at all and pushes irrelevent garbage too
I only maintain a Twitter account for video game updates exclusively
I don't use tiktok so I can't comment on that,
But my Twitter feed is basically cool art, or mtg/40k stuff lol I don't really see anything else
Most of these social media sites feed you "suggested" content which is either
- irrelevant
- controversial bait (politics, gossip, trashy drama etc)
The suggested content I see.
