YUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I want more white blades
as dumb and as frustrating it would be for a lot of fans, I think having a jedi who just somehow happens to have a red lightsaber would be really funny
Adi Gallia in Legends:
But nah I think it'd be really cool if a Jedi stole his enemy's saber and just didn't purify it.
Kinda like Cere in fallen order, I guess?
It'd make for some real comedic moments amongst other jedi, and make for a good intimidation tactic in general
š
Was talking with a customer at work today about Star Wars, nice old lady.
Old Lady: I heard that the new Star Wars show had gone "woke"? What's that about?
Me: The main character is a black woman with two moms.
Old Lady: ...that's it?? Seriously??
I get the feeling that if that old lady knew what "bruh" was, she would've said it.
She looked and sounded so disappointed at Star Wars fans.
Like we were just talking about the OG Star Wars in 77 because it was like a huge cultural boom right? And then she talks about The Acolyte.
Thats how I think most people are about "woke" culture topics. The ones that have a real problem with it are in the minority, but are also the loudest.
I don't know why I expected an adverse reaction. It was honestly so funny hearing her essentially say "bruh moment".
To be honest, I sort of have that bias too, where I assume people are worse than they are. It's part of why I try to present myself in ways counter to their perceived stereotypes of me. I'm a built dude with a long beard that listens to metal and drives a muscle car, so I try to be the most polite, caring, and kind person, and drive very conservatively and safely, just to offset any negative stereotypes people may have about those things.
then you ask them to define "woke" and its just
or "if you have to ask im not explaining it to you, youre part of the problem"
I mean I standby that other than the fight scene being awesome and them being willing to not plot armor major supporting cast. The writing has been mediocre. Certainly not the worst thing I've watched, I'd say it's meh
But it's not pissing and shitting yourself worthy like some people are doing
its good entertainment while you are watching. but upon further inspection and reflection its thin
nothing about it is bad enough imo though to trash it completely.
Yeah that's kind of what I was trying to say.
And also the fact that it feels like it would have worked better as one continuous film instead of classic TV episodes doesn't help
which you could really describe all of Star Wars as lol
these people acting as if the OT, and the Prequels, are some sort of Shakespearean epic lmao
I mean honestly the Hidden fortress does everything better than ANH except be in space and English
Yeah no shit.
Probably doesnāt help that they made Shakespearean novelizations of the OT and PT/j
Did the Sol vs Stranger fight this afternoon with @near hornet
@stable gyro filmed it, we're editing it later
Sweet.
Dude, awesome! Can't wait to see it.
One take that technically should be an outtake, but we're likely gonna keep
Not us both slipping š
Me nearly rolling my ankle š„²
I think this is one of our best one-shot takes actually
Lol. Lmao
Self proclaimed expert complaining that slowing the fight down shows that it's bad.
But apparently that doesn't count with Anakin vs Obi-Wan or Duel of the Fates
Oh. Shad. The grifter, who's now fuelled by hate. The man who wrote a redemption story about an immortal rapist.
Ah yes.
Sadly his opinion is being taken as the new gospel now by critics lol
Which is funny cause even the IGN videos where they analyze the duels had so much things that made sense

Used to watch shad. I remember a video where he talked about the book and Sanderson being an inspiration.
Didnt know it was about rape
Too bad shad didnt learn more of the right things from sanderson
He's fallen off really hard
A better sword YouTuber also did a breakdown of the fight
Sellsword arts
Heās just a former Shad(ow) of himself.
Yeah he used to be decent and then made a video that got him dunked on by almost every other sword YouTuber and instead of saying maybe I was wrong, doubled down on being awful
Best take
Itās almost like different martial arts exist outside of HEMA
doesnāt the HEMA community dislike shad too though cause heās not a professional and claims he is on their stuff though?
Yeah he's a faker
Shad is also affiliated with the whole 'keep woke out of warhammer/we hate women in our gaming spaces/feeeemales ruin everything' crowd and supports Carl 'I think it's okay for young boys to be sexually assaulted' Benjamin.
So like, he's kinda cooked
Skallagrim and Sellsword Arts are the best in the sword community
Make it 3 for good measures
That's an insult to gay people, take it back. /lhj
That's too far, you're canceled.
You're both cancelled š
Damn, better start my grifter arc then
why are you punishing the gays like this
Sorry youāre right. We should change them to dildos that way itās more ethical
NAURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Why can only gay men have their dicks eaten? Don't gatekeep.
Or......
A bit⦠average sized. Seem a bit too enjoyable
Itās the thought that counts
As the local representative, hell naur.
We gatekeeping that for sure.
God forbid women do anything/j
Mb.
Canceled \s
Well well well, now weāre all canceled
in the context of shad doing... yes or the bi/pan pop
but still punishing them too
Nah, he can eat shit
if she survived she definitely would've been Knighted
All the Jecki Jams on Twitter the past week saying the same thing lol
Yord Horde got nothing to work with tho lol
Dafne can return to the franchise playing a human Jedi
Yeah, hard for a human to come back from a snapped neck.
I just really like Jecki. She felt like a little sister kind of character to me.
Dafne absolutely should come back, though. Her action chops are fantastic.
"By the force, its Jecki's long lost sister Jacki!"
-Master Sol
yo those gauntlets are crusty as hell
I mean his helmet seems to have a decent amount of pitting and scarring, but the wrist gauntlet in that first pic looks like the texture of rusty metal (which could just be due to lighting)
Is it muddy or is it supposed to be burnt
probably went tomb raiding
I bet he found pristine upgrades for his machine gun...
These are genuinely heartbreaking
Agreed.
š
Hmmmmmmm
ELDEN RING MENTIONED!!!! WTF IS VIGOR RAHHHHHHHH
Qimir mod for Elden Ring when
just seen someone say "darth gimp (hate the name) took out 5 jedi but struggled against the padawan girl boss"
fully convinced that people dont watch this
Nope, they don't.
I mean compared to the no names (who are supposedly not padawans), he certainly struggled more even if he always had the upper hand
Holy shit episode 6 leaked
Skadoosh
Damn! They got ||darth tenebrous|| ???
He's too po-erful...
HOLY FUCK!!!!!!!
Anyone can slap the logo in the corner
This is the shit I need. Lightsabers constructed with the carefree "what could possibly go wrong?" attitude of early firearm experimentation.
The Weezer pistol
eighteen photos, huh https://old.reddit.com/r/StarWarsLeaks/comments/1dtsvwc/the_acolyte_weapon_concept_art_adam_burn/
Early flintlock firearms got kind of crazy.
You know, I like a lot of these designs, but I also don't think they fit the visual language of the shows as well. Some of them would work really well for a show or movie set even further in the past.
TOR like
Exactly. That organic looking Sith saber looks like some kind of ancient relic.
3 of these look perfect in something like Dead Space
First one if Sauron was a Sith Lord
think we can post these designs into #saber-showcase since none of these are spoilery for what's happened in the last five episodes?
Maybe? Personally, I'd err on the side of caution, in case anyone reverse Google searches them.
I like these designs, maybe they could be repurposed for old republic
Especially like the triple barrel one
3rd one could be like a Yuuzhan Vong saber design and 4th would fit with an Exegol aesthetic
@vast plank is it just me or does this saber in the middle give off Pyramid vibes
Yea it does look like it has the VoTD aesthetic
@weary sable
Yep
train like a Sith
Donāt miss the Stranger in all-new episodes of #TheAcolyte, only on @DisneyPlus.

Also I don't like edits if they're not to a song I like.
Also this edit is pretty bad I promise you I could do better, if only I could get my hands on official footage.
I shall wait for the official nonemi-approved edit
You gotta realize that my music taste is K-Pop and Vocal Synth.
So that's not happening.
There's a handful of metal songs I could set this to that'd work, I think, haha.
anyone wanna take bets on what people are going to be mad at?
39 minute episode, have fun all
Interacting with women too much and not servicing the male gaze. /lhj
I am genuinely excited to see where the story goes though.
"Unknown Planet"
||IS IT AHCH-TO?? Would be so poetic with that Dark-side cave. ||
A thought I had: how is this the gayest star wars when Qimir is definitely for the girls
So I think I was right, they're gonna blame the killings on Sol
I mean, this is the spoiler thread anyway lol
|| I feel like it was kind of a rash thing of him to do, leaving without telling Vernestra anything. But, this begs the question, is this a contrivance or consistent with his character? ||
Sorry I wanted to try out the hidden thing lol
There's gonna be better reference photos on cap-that, but here's some better looks at Qimir's costume
One of his tabards has a pleat, his obi belt has a texture, and it closes at the front
the fact that someone spent the time to edit in the unknown planet over the panning shot is ridiculous
Looks like it to me.
Guys
There you go.
Based on what interviews I heard from Leslye, I'm sorta confident this is what we're seeing
Iāll tell ya what pissing me off about the episode so far, is people not fucking letting me watch it
I canāt watch more than a fucking minute with out getting interrupted
Qimir doesn't seem like your typical Sith Lord (at least for now)
my first thoughts were ahch-to or lehon
those creatures on the shores certainly reminded me of the rakata with their head shape, i kinda really hope the planet is lehon
they definitely filmed it on the same place as ahch to though
guy is definitely something other than sith
So, we're all waiting to hear Nonemi's thoughts on that scene, right? š
No ass shots?
What, the back scar?
I honestly just feel bad for the guy.
You know what's really hot?
THE FACT THAT HE FIGHTS WITH A SENSORY DEPRIVATION HELMET.
WHAT.
Oooooh thatās actually a neat detail, like the padawan training helmets but more āsith orientedā and has a secondary use
He's an interesting character, for sure.
one twitter theory so far is his master was Vernestra and she whiplashed him
I got that vibe too.
Oh that's just wild if the theory ends up being true.
Looks like the type of scarring you see on photos of plantation slaves.
Whoever did the scar makeup is so good at their job.
Do we know who Solās master was? I forgor
That's the kind of work I like to do in technical theatre.
I don't think they said? I think he was already a Knight in the flashback.
Hmmmm. Theory time: someone (maybe Vernestra) trained two padawans and clearly favored one over the other
Could be. Is that suggesting that Qimir and Sol are brothers?
Maybe, considering that Qimir does seemingly have ties to the Witches and their wacky wavy thread magic
I think it might be that Qimir was abandoned by Vernestra and replaced by Sol and the two somehow met, which is why Qimir knows exactly what Osha is going through. Osha literally met her replacement.
Maybe Qimir did the same at some point.
This is more likely. Or at the very least Vernestra took on Qimir, he āfellā to the dark side, or showed potential to fall, leading to her distrusting him and kinda isolating him, kinda unintentionally creating a self-fulfilling prophecy
he's also apparently much older than he looks? insert weird dark side shit here
That to me at least implies they want to do a Sol Qimir related arc
I'm kind of hoping for a reveal where he's using a force illusion to be a young hot dude, and drops it at some point to reveal his true face
Like the elf king in the Hobbit?
Something like that, yeah.
The irony that in Legends, Force Longevity was an actual thing, but it was a Light Side condition.
Jedi Master Fay had it.
So was Force Healing, if I remember right.
To be fair that makes sense for the most part
The Sith had Dark Healing though iirc.
Unless it was like ātake one life force and put it in anotherā which is probably what dark healing is now that Nonemi brought it up
I don't think the Sith had any longevity-increasing abilities except for unending rage and unending hunger (hello, Sion and Nihilus).
Like what Sidious did to Padme to save Vader?
Pretty much Iād say. Although isnāt that just a theory? A very well thought out and evidence filled one but a theory nonetheless?
I think technically it's a theory, but it's one I thought was fact upon first viewing the scene. More from the way it was shot than anything else, but that idea always made way more sense than what the later memes suggested happened.
Hmm. Some people are arguing against the Vernestra theory, and offering that it could have been force lightning inflicted
Maybe? I feel like the look and placement of the scar lends itself more to the Vern theory. Lighting strikes leave very distinctive patterns on the skin, and I'd imagine they'd play that up using makeup if that was the case.
The scar we saw looks very much like the scar one might recieve from a lashing.
And we've only seen one whip like weapon in this show. I don't think its a coincidence that they showed us both his scar and her whip in the same episode.
For sure. Iām less likely to believe it would be FL, but it could work if heās not actually a sith, by having him exploit both sides to sway Osha and/or Mae to become an apprentice of his own lil cult
Abandoned by both Jedi and Sith, explaining his scars as a product of either side to sway either twin from their natural draws to the force. Hinting it may be a Jedi who caused it to Osha to shake her faith in the Jedi, and blaming the Sith while with Mae to get her to follow him explicitly
I could maybe see that. Maybe he's got beef with both orders, so he wants to do his own thing. A thing which may later become the Knights of Ren.
Of course, he did also explicitly mention "the power of two", which feels like a callback to both the witches chant, and the Sith rule of two.
The more think and theorize about this show, the more I like it.
Funny to see people comparing Qimir to Dennis from itās always sunny for this episode because of yāknow,.. the implicationsā¦
Hahaha. Honestly, it's not that bad of a comparison. Dennis is way more over the top, since IASIP is basically a live action cartoon, but still. Charismatic, generally good looking, always seems to have an angle, undercurrent of darkness.
Now I want to see Glenn Howerton as a Sith Lord.
Well heās certainly been following the D.E.N.N.I.S system so far while trying to recruit these twins
Wow, he really has, hasn't he?
How come the sith always talk about powerful feelings to access the force that are negative... Is there some kind of, not Jedi that uses powerful feelings that are positive, a reverse with if you will. Like happiness, love, hope etc to access the force. Because the Jedi's whole thing is no emotions
I don't know that the Jedi's thing is strictly no emotions, is it? Like, they don't want attachments, since they feel attachment is an easy path to fear or anger or whatever. But that's not the same as having no emotions. I think they're allowed to be happy and compassionate and whatnot.
I could be wrong, but the Jedi we see aren't often emotionless, just kind of serene.
Agreed, but they also wouldn't be using their extremely suppressed emotions to access the force either
True. And your greater point is still an interesting thought. Is there a Sith out there that, instead of hate and fear, basically uses a Care Bear Stare? I say that jokingly, but there are powerful positive emotions.
It's hard to say they'd be a sith at that point but they'd also not be a Jedi either
Also watching the episode now and damn they really said man can't see shit out of this helmet...
I love that detail. It makes the previous episodes combat that much more impressive.
Doesn't the Jedi Code literally say "there is no emotion"? /genq
We know the Sith Code is kinda canon since Maul indirectly recited it to Ezra.
So I'd assume the OG Jedi Code and tenets still are too, right?
Idk, I'm having a hard time reconciling the Jedi Code with the Jedi we see having emotions on screen.
I mean technically anakinās fall to the dark side was caused by love, which is typically seen as an incredibly powerful and positive emotion
Iād assume Jedi code doesnāt outright forbid emotions, it asks followers to keep them in check and restrained, rather than try to rid themselves of emotion entirely
Thats not wrong, but it was more his fear of losing that which he loved that drove him to the dark side, more so than the love itself.
Like, without love, it wouldn't have happened, but it's more than that.
I mean any emotion, whether positive or negative without restraint and self control can lead to some seriously bad situations. Sith see that as a shortcut to power while Jedi understand the necessity of emotion while also realizing it needs to be held in check
Imo
Yeah, that's more or less where I land as well.
I do like that there is some level of exploring the emotion/Force connection. Like, Sol's attachment to Osha, and Qimirs whole outlook.
it was defs more of palps twisting that love into fear and then using that fear to drive him to the darkside
Thats a good point. It's one thing to fear loss. It's entirely another to have so much fear that you chop your bosses arm off, then go to your workplace daycare and lay waste.
All because one dude said he might be able to help.
this description has me dying
Then it's having the intended effect š
My least favourite part about disney star wars shows is the damn jingle at the start of all of them
NO SPOILER PLS IS THIS EPISODE A FLASHBACK
no
omg fuck ok I gotta watch it asap then
It might be Bal'demnic. Oh someone already pointed that out lol
thank u<3
Yes it is the flash back episode. Turns out qimir is the third sibling of the sisters but was abandoned by their mothers and turned over to the reigning Sith Lord darth gravid.
Not Sith Lord Mog?
Awh, we don't get to see Vern tripping balls when she goes through hyperspace?
Oh shit
I'm still holding out hope he's Darth Venamis
Iām glad that we get to see a reasonable sith
Like heās not just KILL KILL KILL BC IM EVIL
@weary sable https://x.com/eavoss/status/1808371926840271159
maybe i read the sith wrong but this also isn't them. like they have no qualms killing if necessary but they aren't serial killers. just doing it because.
Darth bane did teach about not being butchers. Leave some alive. Donāt kill for no reason
They all seem a little off-kilter though. Qimir meanwhile actually feels... mostly normal.
I can't tell if this is satirical due to someone asking for no spoilers in the spoiler thread or if it was deadly serious.
Oooooh!
It was totally serious.
100%
Okay now I'm really not sure lol (I'm TERRIBLE at reading tone through text)
(Reasons I use and appreciate tone indicators)
That's wild that Qimir trained his own sister, then.
Oh.
It took you asking that for me to get it.
XD
(As I said... really bad at reading tone over text)

AO3 about to get real interesting now that we know the cortosis helmet also serves as sensory deprivation
I know that sensory deprivation is generally a force user way of training yourself to connect to it, but it now makes me curious about Qimir using one as an adult. Could it be that he had a negative experience with sensory deprivation during his time with the Jedi, caused deaths, whether by accident or on purpose, leading to Vernastra attacking? This could lead to his helmet usage as a āSithā using that trauma as a way to interact with the dark side more effectively?
I hope they keep these concepts around for another high republic show or maybe the old republic.... especially the triple beam and the translucent marble
I don't think that means she's the Sith master. But his old Jedi master. Maybe a moment of weakness for her a long time ago.
Oh yeah, but still š¦
Also, those little creatures on totally not acth-to look like lil versions of the things luke milks.
Porgs and Green Milk Sea Cows mated.
I have a feeling this is closer to the truth of the matter. This show seems to be intent on playing with perspective of events, and Headland has cited the film Rashomon as a major influence, so while the main "same events from a different perspective" event seems to be whatever happened on Brendok, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a B plot that follows that structure, that being the events of what happened to Qimir that left him with that scar.
They must find something to complain about. To prove that the people making shows they don't personally like must hate Star Wars.
Good gods.
It's really ridiculous that these are the things they want to use to justify screeching "This show is bad, the creators know nothing about Star Wars"
Like, it's super conspiracy theory style thinking to have the mindset of "only I know how Star Wars is supposed to be!"
If y'all hate Star Wars so much go write your own story š£š£š£
(It's what I did)
And you don't even hate Star Wars
The only thing I hate is that they took away Synthetic Kyber Crystals.
Don't get me wrong, I love crystal bleeding.
Are... are you OK? š
But I miss Synthetic Kyber Crystals.
Ah damn, you edited before I posted
I mean the answer is "no" but you never saw anything.
That feels like all of us in some capacity, haha.
But yeah I wrote my own universe and story set in a galaxy but it's a completely different setting even so.
But yeah, it's one thing to say "oh they changed this minor detail. That's a bummer, but oh well." It's a whole other thing to go "The changed this minor detail, so all of Star Wars is ruined forever, and everyone who makes it know doesn't know Star Wars like I know Star Wars!"
Emotion, yet Peace
Ignorance, yet Knowledge
Passion, yet Serenity
Chaos, yet Harmony
Death, yet The Force
Is this the canon Jedi Code?
Ok so now weāre just being obtuse with our idiocy then got it. Are we really gonna try and equate what Iām assuming is an handheld arc welding tool to a lightsaber? Which utilizes some kind of magnetic field to keep its plasma in a shape? Something clearly more complex?
Anything to justify their position, that being "I am the special boy who knows what Star Wars needs."
For real, they are all basically Patton Oswalt in that filibuster scene in Parks and Rec, but unironic and angry.
it's from the 2014 Kanan comics run
who knows if it actually /is/ the Jedi code for the current canon
but it's less restrictive than "There is no emotion, only peace"
Thats the one I was thinking of.
Iām wondering how a saber with a Cortosis crossguard would function, if at all
Is the idea that the cortosis disrupts the magnetic field contains the plasma in a saber blade? Because if so, I have a hard time seeing that work properly.
I mean I feel like most sith in canon are just evil for the sake of being evil tho. Like palpatine had no motivations. Ben also turned to the dark side bc ??? It was cooler? The villains in Star Wars have never been very fleshed out tho ig
sideous didn't murder to just murder though.
Nitpicking cortosis compatibility is quite possibly the most boring fucking thing to whine about lmao
he wanted to be in charge and be able to do whatever he wanted.
I think I just want more characters like Kreia in canon even though I know we wonāt get any
regardless. this villian seems more middle than extreme
Thats fair. I was responding to a question about if a cortosis saber hilt is possible, and that was my sort of stream of consciousness answer, haha.
No I didnāt think you were the one complaining, I saw the tweet lol
Ah gotcha. In that case, I agree. Whining about welding cortosis is just dumb.
because everyone knows welding inverters use kyber crystals /s
I was about to ask what our response would be to the arc welder but I respect these responses
I personally prefer bleeding over synthetics but I can understand why someone would prefer the synthetics
For sure. The shitty Lincoln Electric arc welder in my fabrication area is chockablock full of Kyber crystals.
Toos did that and it was god awful
My thought would be that just the crossguard is made of cortosis, and thereās a bit of hilt between it and the actual ābladeā? Cause my assumption was that it needed contact to disrupt, but if close enough proximity to the electronics does it as well, then thatās a good point for it not working
This is sort of applying really world physics to fantasy materials, which makes speculating difficult. We don't know the process by which cortosis disrupts the blade, we don't know for sure what is keeping the blade stable in the first place, and we don't really know the in universe electromechanical assembly of a saber enough to say for sure what would happen.
All that being said, I think a full cortosis hilt wouldn't work, but a separate crossguard piece might
True. It could be an interesting concept, but in terms of combat itād probably be better to have a dagger made of the material for parry/shutdowns or just have the armor pieces like Qimir
Oooh, maybe you could create a double bladed saber with redundant systems, and an extendable cortosis spike near each emitter. Get in a blade lock, extend the spike, disrupt your opponents and your own blade, then ignite the other end and swing at a now defenseless opponent.
Making it one of those foldable double sabers could hide a spike and create interesting combos
Just the most underhanded, every trick in the book kind of weapon.
The Sebulba's pod racer of lightsabers.
Considering my original world has a completely different power system I'm not worried about it being terrible because it stands as its own thing.
As for the Star Wars spinoff I wrote, I'd just ask Cruise what he thinks.
I think it's kind of like the difference between being QA and the Developer. Fans can articulate what they don't like and why pretty well (most of the time excluding the obvious bad faith things like woke wars) but they're not the people making it and shouldn't be trusted for ideas on how to fix it.
but could offer valuable feedback on what isn't working
I think that's the disconnect with a lot of fans. They love the universe, and have lots of idea of what they'd like to see happen in it. But it also often takes an outside source to tell someone "Hey, it's cool you're passionate, but that's a dumb idea." Hell, George Lucas had people push against his ideas all through the making of the OT.
But a lot of people don't want to hear that they may have had a bad or unworkable idea, and get defensive.
also so many of them, for their great ideas, don't really understand the business end of it either.
I so I just noticed. The council said how they suspected a fallen/rogue Jedi
And this episode confirms they are exactly right
Qimir straight says he was a Jedi before
At what point does a fallen Jedi become a Sith?
when they start following the sith ideals and not just not being a jedi?
Well if we take anakin for example, Iād say he was always a fallen Jedi through out his entire time as Vader
But he was also a Sith, wasn't he? As was Dooku?
This commend just got me knighted XD
Yep exactly right. Thereās no reason to suggest being a sith means your not longer a fallen Jedi
In dookus case how ever he was a fallen Jedi before he became a sith where anakin fell when he embraces the sith
In the period you are only a Sith if you are part of the Bane line
Wasnāt anakin like āinductedā into the order though by Sidious?
Ehh, Iād argue he chose it when he cut windus hand off
Officially given a title and everything
The cutting of the hand is the fall to the dark side, but the moments afterwards are when heās officially turned to the Sith as an apprentice
There definitely still something else going on with qimir. The point of my argument being the council was right about it being a fallen Jedi, weather he is a sith or not doesnāt matter at the current moment. It would give him a reason to know about the sith as the Jedi wouldāve taught that. And perhaps he figured out how to bleed his crystal himself, or stole one from the archive.
I'm mostly trying to get a sense of how these things happen, cause you know people are going to complain about the semantics of being a Sith vs being a fallen Jedi when it comes to this show. I want to have cogent points to enter into that inevitable discussion.
Not that you're doing that, @cosmic siren, I just like to be prepared, haha.
Qimir gives big Malicos energy I think
Qimir also said he wants the power of 2... and I don't think he meant it in the I want one of these twins way
Iād say that your a fallen Jedi when you chose not to be a Jedi. Just like osha, anakin, windu, apparently qimir. And you become a sith when your master appoints you as one. In the plagueis book for example when sheev pledges himself to the sith and plagues names him sidious
So for the brief minutes between anakin cutting off windus hand and sidious naming him Vader he would be a fallen Jedi
That makes sense, and sort of applies a logic to the when and where of falling to the dark side.
also fallen would denote doing something against the jedi code. would that include those like ohsa who flame out because the life is not for them?
I donāt think that as much. Dooku left of his own accord and the Jedi werenāt against it. He only really did something against the code after it no longer applied to him (taking up the royalty of his home planet)
Moment he left he would be considered a fallen Jedi
i just think that fallen has a specific negative connotation though. like its not your own choice that you are leaving.
Wasnāt the lost 20(is that the number?) also called the fallen? apparently not
"Y'all. If your man is a tall Asian darksider with big biceps, messy hair, and a mustache that I wanna take a razor to.
That's not your man, that's mine. Fuck off."
I'd disagree because Palps had already been grooming him towards being a sith before then and there was no other practical outcome after the hand chop... IMO if the order had survived episode 3's stuff but Obi-Wan still decided to fuck off to Tatooine still but maintain his force connections then I think that'd be enough to qualify as a fallen jedi
"Bruh if you're gonna kill me can you not do it while I'm naked smh my head"
Also, is that like the only time we see someone in Star Wars taking a bath?
Yeah pretty much.
what he meant was "I'm done with my bath"
Ok but like Qimir and Malicos do kinda have similar vibes. Both abandoned the Jedi order, believing its traditions suffocate and destroy any who stray from their path. Both wanted to work/have worked(debatable since we still donāt know much about Qimir) and utilize dual wielding lightsabers while being pretty ripped for some reason
Iām fairly sure we see someone showering in andor, but a straight up bath
C-3p0 taking an oil bath in the OT says hello
we have no idea why Qimir left the order. we only know what he thinks of the order RN
I said someone not something XD
ARE YOU DISCRIMINATING AGAINST DROIDS??
Am I wrong?
Fair point, although his stated desire to utilize power freely without interference from Jedi does seem to imply that he doesnāt like the strictness
Droid ethics becomes much more complex when in regards to plot relevant characters
3P0 does seem to have a higher level of sapience than most other droids, which becomes even more confusing when you remember heās built by a 9 y/o slave. Personalities do seem to be achieved by droids who arenāt memory wiped after a while, which leaves me to be willing to consider a droid āsomeoneā rather than āsomethingā
I'm very sure old man Huyang would be highly offended and smack you with all four of his arms if you referred to him as "it".
C-3PO, R2-D2, L3-37, Huyang, and C1-10P all seem to demonstrate some level of sapience.
Most droids in general do seem to have levels of sentience as well and we know for a fact that G0NK droids amongst many others can feel pain as seen in ROTJ
Well yeah of course the demonstrate sapience. Theyāre programmed to do so
Hmm, that's potentially a good point. Counterpoint, if they have a level of sapience that rivals other sapient lifeforms, are they less than simply because they are created?
Or, put another way, what would it take for artificial lifeforms to reached "personhood" status?
Iād say to demonstrate all levels of sapience even after a total memory/system reset. Which likely wonāt happen
I guess itās a good argument of what would be the difference between c3po and Optimus prime
Interesting point. I hadn't considered the memory wipe scenario.
Though, isn't it possible to wipe an organic lifeforms memory as well?
Thereās a good argument that cybertronian are Truely living beings despite being actual robots
If an organic is just running on instinct, isn't that also just following "programming", so to speak?
Based on how many times 3p0 and R2 have been wiped and still retained Sapience, itās a fair argument to say those two at least are able to claim personhood
Difference being that instinct is something developed over generations of evolution, where as programming can be set and reset at a moments notice
Did they retain sentience? Or did they regain it? Droid manufacturers recommend frequent memory wipes to avoid the product āgainingā sapience
Mmm thereās been a couple plot lines in CW episodes where they get wiped and still act the same
Thereās also been plot lines where theyāre wiped and entirely start new
Look at 3po getting wiped between episodes 3 and 4, and again inā¦. 9 was it?
I'd argue there's not a huge difference between resetting a droids programming and, say, changing someone's brain enough that they no longer sell deathsticks, go home, and rethink their life.
https://collider.com/the-acolyte-episode-6-explained-leslye-headland/ Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon mentioned š
Can we really use elan sleazebaggano as an example? Though? Guys head was cooked by memory altering drugs for years on end AND did go back to dealing said drugs after rethinking his life a second time
Ok then stormtrooper squad commander #5 from ANH who was told that they werenāt in fact the droids they were looking for?/hj
Remember though, his daughter told him directly after that he was wrong, he said he was just repeating what he said XD
please let it be Lehon!
I don't see how any of that makes him less sapient. More easily manipulated, sure. But that's the difference between have your password taped to your computer screen, and setting up multi factor authentication, and also accessing the Internet through a VPN.
It was hot out and heās in full armor. Itās 104 here and honestly? Canāt blame the guy for just repeating what obi-wan said, Iād be cranky af too and just let the guy go
COLLIDER: We're getting a show that's getting review bombed by bots and bad-faith people on the internet. And I'm curious, there's obviously a lot of people who are tuning in every week to actually watch this. They love this, they're creating things because they love this show so much. Are there conversations behind the scenes where people acknowledge that this is a movement to review-bomb on Rotten Tomatoes and [that] isn't actually indicative of what fans are actually thinking?
HEADLAND: Oh, yes. Everybody knows what review bombing is like. Truly when the show first came out, my publicist was like, "OK, with the reviewā¦" I was like, "Does anybody take that seriously anymore?" Perhaps the average⦠I understand the point of it, which is that the average viewer would look at the site and say, "Oh, the user review is really low." But I think that, if you're in the Star Wars fandom, I think you already know what review bombing is. So I guess if you're totally new to the fandom and you're considering watching the show, it could affect you. But I also think that my work in the past has been very word-of-mouth anyway, so I don't know if it⦠I think that because behind the scenes, we all know what it is ā it's not that it's not concerning ā but I think it's pretty expected. I would say.
COLLIDER: I'm glad to know that it's at least expected these days, because people are people. But you really lucked out with the fanbase because you have the Reylos who gravitated toward this immediately as soon as the vibes were there and those are the ones that are creating fanfiction and they're creating fanart and they're very creative. And then you have the High Republic fans who will meme their way out of a tragic situation, which just brings so much joy. And I'm curious, for you as a creative, what is it like to see such a positive response from something you're creating that it's making other people want to create things of their own? For me personally, I've always thought [that] that is the hallmark of a good story, that it inspires you to want to create something within that kind of sandbox. But what has it been like to see the memes and the fanfics and the fanarts?
HEADLAND: I'm certainly amazed by it. Because that was my type of fandom in adolescence and early adulthood when the prequels were coming out, it was so, ācreate my own world based on the prompt of Star Wars media.ā So the idea that I, first of all, getting to work in Star Wars is my dream, it is my career high. I don't know exactly what I'm gonna do after this. So being able to be a part of that and create Star Wars media and then have people doing what I did is very surreal and absolutely, like you said, it's a vote of confidence that this is fitting into the world that I love so much.
Iām not saying he wasnāt sapient. Iām talking about how easily he was manipulated
Holy text wall Batman
"He seduced me."
"To the Dark Side?"
"Oh, that too I guess."
"What does that mean...?"
XD
āYou have the lightsabers Nonemiā
āLooks like you have one mo- never mindā
I do really like her take on fandom in that excerpt pasted here. Creating your own world based on the prompt of the media is really an interesting way of going about it
"A TIE Fighter only fits one person."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Dude, there's only one seat!"
[eyebrow raise]
IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME
I got so many horny jokes up my sleeve but I'm waiting for the right moments to use them.
I hear you, man, but can you imagine the absolute meltdown by the idiot anti woke morons if there was a gay male relationship hinted at in this show.
Earning a new title in a different server, one joke at a time
I really don't want an enemies to lovers in star wars again ughhhhh
Nonemi up here hornier than a zabrak iktotchi hybrid
Yeah, I kind of agree here.
What other server is this,,,
On one hand same, but on the other hand, this one is planned MUCH better than whatever tf Reylo was so Iām not complaining
Oh yeah they'd spontaneously combust.
Idk whichever one you mentioned that kept ābullyingā you for being horny if my memory is serving me correctly
Oh sir that's all of them.
I can sorta agree that it's better planned
If that happened, then we need to make the gayest, most woke Star Wars show ever. Let them combust, and rid the world of their nonsense.
They don't feel like they have chemistry though as lovers
that's how the Dark Side works
Noooooo
The QIMIR system
Q - Quarrel with current acolyte
I - Inspect potential apprentice
M - Murder her friends
I - Incite emotion by hanging dong
R - Rile up her self-doubts
And just like that you're on the way to a new acolyte.
The R would've been "Rizz him up" if it were me...
Lmao not the rebranded DENNIS system
Then you'd take all the Dark Side he could give you š
CHIIIIIIILLLLLLL
I'd give the phrase "Sith Master" an entirely new meaning...
I WISH Y'ALL COULD HEAR HOW HARD I'M CACKLING RN I'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG TO USE THAT ONE
If Qimir is gonna rizz Osha, I want to hear "treat me like white tees, don't get me dirty" in the background when it does
AUR NAUR
Enough with the all caps, Omega š
think the order would tell the family (assuming there is one) of jedi who have died? like under any other circumstance would the council have told the lon family about jeckis death?
"YOU CAHN'T TELL ME WOT TO DO HUNTAH"
I have to imagine so. Though, I don't know if they're allowed to stay in contact with their families when they join, so maybe they wouldnt?
Idk I have a hard time believing they would considering they donāt encourage them to seek out their families once training is done
Or possibly even allow it
well we know from a legends comic they actually keep a record of the family. windu actually had his own family record before deleting it cus they already died
I didn't know that. However, that being legends means it's not really canon, right?
id love to see live action style bad batch members. imagine Temuera Morrison's face being done up as hunter, wrecker, tech, echo, and crosshair
maybe not but even still would be a cool idea
That would be so fucking rad.
Agreed. I feel like the Jedi keeping family records could open some interesting storylines.
one thing i wanna see from the new stuff, give us a clip on stewjon and include ewans brother as a nod to obiwan saying "i think i had a brother"
Man, if they recanonize Stewjon, that'd be wild.
stewjon is actually still canon XD
Is it really???
Dark Wader
yep, not much is known about it. but it is totally canon
I had no idea. I gotta start reading some of the current Star Wars stuff.
still dont get a galactic square for it but we do know its in the deep core
Wasnāt it mentioned in the same book that kinda canonized Bi Obi-Wan?
was that the age of the republic obiwan?
No clue what the name was, I just remember people celebrating space Jesus being somewhat queer
its indirectly mentioned there. and is directly mentioned in two canon apps.
I'm disappointed you didn't spell that O-Bi-Wan...
shaking my head my head
You know the punishment...
But O-Bi-Wan was canonized in The Padawan book
TAKE HIM TO THE GAYOTINE!
Oh goody, Gender affirmation surgery time
I thought he was pan
Its actually just a guillotine, but we painted it with rainbows, and the Executioner is ace.
Ok but what are we chopping⦠cause I got a couple things I could live without if youāre taking suggestions
Honestly? Unsure. Most people are saying bi, but pan would certainly make sense in regards to how diverse the galaxy is
We know Lando is pan, at any rate.
Which I mean, come on. A man with that much style has to be rizzing up everyone, regardless of species or gender
Agreed. Again, I'm straight (mostly), but I'm positive Lando could talk me into the back room of the Falcon.
Probably? They argue with the chemistry of an old married couple, itās a capital D definitely
i just realized. as much as qimir used his cortosis to disable lightsabers, he didnt actually kill any jedi with his own saber while they were disabled.
You're right. If they didn't have a saber, he killed with his bare hands. He bat them on the level his opponents were in the moment.
Only Jecki's death felt unfair, and even then, she used 2 blades, so he pulled his second to beat her.
probably is useful as a pressure reliever along with messing with them psychologically
Arms...
It took less than a minute š
I don't even need to tag Nonemi, I just post Qimir and they show up
I'd also like to say that the way Seven worded it makes it sound like "A Platypus? PERRY THE PLATYPUS??" lmao
I daresay that may have been intentional
Heh.
It's like an image is posted, and Nonemi senses it. "They've posted my boyfriend, I must go thirst!"
Real.
these things legit kinda remind me of the rakata specifically in their head shape. so really hoping lehon
THAT'S WILD
THE LIGHTSABER INNUENDO IS CRAZY DAWG.
Though tbcf, I do like how his saber splits.
Also the soundfont. For his saber. Is to die for.
GODS.
Obama Oā Bama
there's a difference between good foreshadowing and bashing you in the face with it.
There's also a difference between foreshadowing and "this isn't meant to be hidden from the audience, just the characters"
sure, and if you can't figure that out there's either problems with your comprehension skills or the writing. but in the post it specifically talks about plot twists so things that the readers shouldn't have know but maybe speculated about.
yeah but it also shouldn't come from nowhere.
so i keep seeing people saying how nothing is happening this episode. im going to assume people just cant see sol fucking shattering, or qimir slowly breaking oshas defenses
Nothing happening = no action
But when there is action, it's not good enough, or the choreo is bad, or it's dumb he struggles against a "girlboss"
So, Headland confirmed the planet is not Ahch-to. 99.9% sure its Bal'demnic now.
hoping for lehon still
I think Bal'demnic makes more sense because of the cortosis
if were going off of the legends depictions the plagueis novel kinda made its seem like baldemnic was almost swampy and the planet render certainly seems that way
wookieepedia describes it as a planet with rocky tropical islands
"beauty of its giant rock cliffs, pristine beaches, and vast azure oceans."
the plagueis novel definitely didnt make it seem that way XD
but that is my only experience with the planet
guess we will see
chances are it's neither LOL
might be a brand new planet
these little fuckers remind me of the rakata as well. i got my hopes but yeah it very well could be a new one
seen a theory that said qimir is fallen padawan of vernestra
could also be a play on the other names for lehon. one being the unknown world. could just straight up be saying lehon with out calling it lehon
Personally, I subscribe to this theory.
Holy shit
Theory mentioned WTF IS A GOOD YOUTUBER
That theory may hold more water than expected. Ever since the shoto was introduced itās been used as a counter to the light whip
clown theory on that next level copium
can y'all stop posting theory's bullshit so i stop losing braincells I can't afford to lose
@weary sable what is Osha staring at here?
Pectorals.
With a face like that? She's definitely looking at the Star Wars fandom.
She totally looked further down at his nuts
His second not activated lightsaber
"Lifting bodies" is CRAZYYYY dawg
you have braincells left?
His lightsaber
His Midichlorians⦠larger than she expected
Bro gonna influence the midichlorians to create life
like he needs them seeing the rabidness he causes
Nah I mean he's gonna get her pregnant
We're definitely getting a reylo thing by the end of the season
And here I thought Osha and Jecki were gonna be a couple š®āšØ
The force is indeed very stronk
The force is apparently not female after Qimir stepped in
smh my head, can't believe the force is lesbophobic
Qimir's master
He is a psycho
If Nubs is Qimir's master, this show will be a 10/10, better than Empire Strikes Back
I expect to see him
Nubs species as a sith would be so funny
pooba
Are y'all sure that y'all aren't worse than I am?
Took you 6 minutes this time. Your Qimir sense is slipping... š
Top the black series figure, make a blow up doll
Nah actually that's wild.
Fortune favors the bold Nonemi
THE HANDSOME MENACE
Really enjoyed this last episode. The view this is giving of the dark side is pretty interesting and already alluring.
Plus the outfits are better.
I like how Osha is dressed in grey and Qimir is dressed in a white top for a lot of it
The Thirst Menace
One moment
.... i'm on a piracy site because D+ DRM won't let me take screenshots
they named the episode The Parent Trap lol
Seems fine to me, heās just a lil too gonked out on that space hash

True xD
Vader literally murdered a room full of children
the beauty of pretending that things just don't exist because you don't like them
Well I mean it obviously went how this pic Rhys found, I mean Lego surely wouldnāt lie to us, right?/s
Well I mean yeah that's what actually happened
The movie is a dramatization
George Lucas read the autobiography of Anakin Skywalker and thought "well that's not very exciting" and took some liberties
Interested to see where they go with Osha and Mae!
Thanks
This has to be rage bait
Seen someone saying how dooku was never a sith, just a fallen Jedi XD
I guess letās never mind the fact that heās called darth tyranus
Eckhart's Ladder did a good video on why the theory that he's not a true sith is BS
Also,
Yeah, I get this sentiment. Especially in times like this
On this same note: a nitpick I have with people's reaction to the sequels.
"OMG REY USED LIGHTNING WITHOUT TRAINING HASFASFDJ HURR DURR WE'VE NEVER SEEN ANYONE DO LIGHTNING WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING"
WHEN COUNT DOOKU LITERALLY DID THE SAME SHIT BEFORE HER.
"We've never seen anyone instinctively use lightning especially while training as a Jedi" YES WE HAVE SHUT THE FUCK UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
Like I agree that the sequels weren't perfect but that's really the thing you wanna hyperfixate on??
Glowing blue fingers that shoot funny haha static??
Yes, but see, he was an old white man, so all the justification in the world is allowed. Rey is a young woman, so clearly she's unable to have innate talent in anything /j
Honestly, the only thing I disliked about that specific Rey scene in RoS is that they don't allow the audience to sit with what appeared to happen for any length time.
Yeah there's no building of suspense at all for that scene.
Regardless of the alleged "lore break", that scene's pacing was just really badly done.
welp, you do gotta cram a whole 'nother movie's worth of info and retcons while also making finale, so they were kinda doomed from the start with timing and everything
Yeah, that wasn't great. Bringing JJ back was a major mistake. He did TFA, and asked all these questions, which he had no intention of answering. Then Rian Johnson did TLJ, my fave of the 3 sequels, btw, and kind of went in a different direction, but one that had some major potential. RoS should have built off of that. Instead, they brought back JJ, who clearly had some ideas of where he wanted the story from TFA to go, and rushed a bunch of stuff to make that happen. At least, that's the way it seems to me.
All of that being said, the sequel trilogy certainly has moments I love.
fair, I wasn't the biggest fan of TLJ when it came out cause I felt the pacing was weirdly slow for what was happening, and I guess i expected the Crait scenes to be longer based on how they were played out in trailers, but I think I need to revisit it
Honestly TFA was my favourite if only because I'm staring at it through rose-tinted lenses.
Ah, to be able to go back to 2015...
or maybe not longer, but I thought Crait would have been earlier in the movie rather than towards the end
I wish they wouldāve stayed with Trevorrow for ep9
they should've had this shot as he got out of the hot spring
I am hetero but what a beautiful man
Honestly as hot as Qimir is I wish they'd done a completely different scene.
The hotspring scene just feels so out of place.
She could've just ambushed him while he were changing on dry land. Not the bath. And before he took his clothes off.
Sexy, Stupid, Sith
I feel like there's a reason they did it this way, and I really hope it's that he's using the force to mask what he truly looks like. Like, he's using the dark side to appear hot and seduce people, when he's really something else.
There were interviews with the showrunner talking about making the scene reflect the idea of the dark side "seducing" force users, right?
Oh he seduced all right.
I already know it's gonna be a fuckin yord joke
Aw man his torso and head are facing the same way.
But yeah Cruise is right. I was gonna make a Yord joke.
Nubs solos
ignore my dredgen pin lmao
Mickey Mouse alone could solo every character in Star Wars.
that's why Nubs is the powerhouse obviously, he got dredgen title when it first dropped
In a battle to the last breath against Darth Vitiate, Mickey would curb stomp him.
so according to star wars theory its bad to humanize jedi now...
(āÆĀ°ā”°)āÆļøµ ā»āā»
Bad to humanize jedi, bad to portray them negatively, maybe jedi is just something that should be abandoned?/s
𤔠theory
dude's content is whiny bitching ever since he did his face reveal
atleast the shitty fanfics were entertaining
said it once and will parrot it a thousand times
I'm morbidly curious about his Star Wars fanfiction.
Like, I genuinely wanna read it if only because the idea of a "Force Freeze" power is somewhat interesting to me.
It was copy paste what ifs from the wiki
And also to see how bad it is, of course.
What if Anakin didn't turn to the dark side
its just edgelord cringe
I wanna see how my SW fanfic holds up to his.
Routine advertisement for #1256266405322559591 sorry.
the fact that he holds Anakin, the posterboy for "don't be like this guy", on such a high pedestal should tell you all you need to know
my reaction when summing up crakpot theories and bitching about why Didney bad for the 10,000th time
I liked him wayy back when
but now he is just insufferable
this was back in 2015-2016
before TLJ
Do y'all remember Stupendous Wave.
He sounded like AI before AI voices became a thing.
dude is a bit self righteous
Eckhart isn't all that bad imo but to each their own.
Now that you mention this, it really feels like the Fandom turned with the release of TLJ.
but dude isn't exclusively SW
There is also SW IRL
and SirJames Gamerfuzion who is good
Who stepped away from the scene for life reasons.
SWIRL and SirJames did a collab once (Galaxy's Edge 4K Walking Tour) and it was awesome.
I like "Sunflower Stardust" (Dolores from Imperial HR).
there is another saber creator
called Grey Jedi or something
I forgot his name
YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjIpo6HRlAN07MgtbpKF3_Q?sub_confirmation=1
Welcome to my Saberhood! Star Wars, lightsabers and cosplay! May the Force Be With You
this guy
he is good too
Fanporium of course.
met her at an Andor screening. she's cool
Her shorts are so funny. I actually thought about entering the Doloresverse and she hearted my comment when I brought it up in the comments section.
Fun Fact: in Dolores canon, she's dating Mas Amedda.
Which is wild.
Ayyyyyyyyyyyyy
the blue senator guy?????
Yep.
According to her creator, Dolores was dating Mas Amedda when the Empire rose to power.
I can't judge, I've had weirder fictional crushes
I don't even think it's a fictional crush. I think it was specifically written for Dolores' character.
Yea, I was talking more about the character's interest
Oh, yeah.
Also, Dolores doesn't fucking like Vader.
Quote: "I've been trying to get rid of Vader for 19 years."
Funnily enough, BJ Whimpey (the Palpatine guy) gave her Employee of the Month once and most likely gave her Employee of the Year at her suggestion.
Vader, a powerful Sith Lord who's literally the darkness of the prophesized Chosen One who could snap your neck with a thought:
The Imperial HR Representative:
My precise response.
stop sharing the andrew taint of star wars' bullshit
"How the fuck are you welding Cortosis when it's lightsaber resistant?"
"How the fuck is the armourer forging Beskar when it's lightsaber resistant??"
You know what? Fair. Leave him where he belongs. Forgotten.
Let him die the second death long before the first.
what colour is your x-wing
they snort the metal shavings and it gives them abilities like Spice in Dune obviously. If he asks dumb questions I'm gonna give stupid answers
Nah, it just turns out welders are the most powerful union in the galaxy.
I mean based on how much of it we've seen in SW, I wouldn't actually be surprised
I don't fly one, I use a modified Razor Squadron ARC-170
Okay that's sick.
modifications include moving weapon controls from the back seat to the front and removing the rear two seats then hollowing out the Astro's bay so that's a tiny living space instead
certified chad ship right there
I had this one as a kid, thanks for reminding me
Fun fact about the Tigershark ARC-170: within the Star Wars universe, the blue and white deco was originally only seen on the Muunilist 10's LAA-T. The Star Wars Transformers line marked the first time it was applied to ARC-170 fighters and clone trooper armor. It was, of course, only a matter of time before versions of each came out for the normal Hasbro Star Wars toy line, meaning Transformers has added to the main Star Wars canon.
Awesome.
hell yea
have they ever gave any indication of oshas sexuality? (before episode 6)
used to have this
I know some spheres online thought that maybe Osha and Jecki had feelings, but I don't know if that was truly implied in the show, or was just wishful thinking on the part of the internet.
But other than that, I don't think Oshas sexuality has really come up or been implied prior to episode 6
well, Dafne said she played Jecki as if she did so
and andrew garfield said that he wasnt in no way home
Did she? I didn't know that, I like that detail.
actors can say what ever the hell they want honestly. wont believe a word of it
I mean it's disney, I wouldn't get hopes too high about queer rep
i seen some posts about how the show is inconsistent or some shit cus heres osha checking out qimir when it was apparently already established that she was a "strong lesbian woman!"
He's in the server now
I feel like this is people assuming she must be a strong lesbian woman because they've already decided the show is "woke", and she doesn't have an established male love interest.
I like him, he helped me to understand the different things on a darkwolf saber
she actress saying that she played the character as if her character had a crush on another character is pretty telling
but she's dead now so we'll never know
It's because she hadn't shown any active interest in men prior to ep 6 so they assume there's no way she'll be interested in any
I kinda felt this way during the Ahsoka show days but I think he's cool now. Maybe it's because I know he isn't in the anti woke sphere
Thats a good point, but even then, that doesn't really tell us how Osha may have felt, only Jecki.
if the director didn't like it, she would have been told "no don't do that, it's too overtly flirty. tone it down."
i find it hilarious how people are getting after sol for not being able to see mae is mae in disguise, like hmm not like he just had a fuck ton of jedi plus his own padawan killed and himself shaken by a dark side user. not to mention how he is very clearly on the verge of a mental fucking break down
He still guessed it
I'd be more upset that bro just abandoned without telling Vern about the guy who uttered the S word
Right? God forbid a Jedi is also a thinking, feeling person, and not just a stoic space wizard.
Sol's moment at that console was so good, Lee Jung Jae is such a good actor
He really is. I didn't watch Squid Game, but I really, really like his acting in this show.
I haven't either
That and Parasite are still on my watchlist for whenever I want to explore South Korean film
I kinda want to watch Good Place because of Manny, and I heard Tiya Sircar is in it too
i hate this fandom so much. apparently people are calling this dude "they gayest jedi in the universe"
I also recommend the Host if you want a good horror rec from South Korea, it's the same director as Parasite and Snowpiercer
LETS GOOOOO TWINK JEDI
Snowpiercer is Korean?
Bong Joon-Ho directed
The one with Chris Evans?
yep
Huh, interesting
Korean director at least
I really hate to make this comparison but...
Bro these people should do some digging into what Dagan Gera's actor looks like IRL if they want a gay Jedi
I'd very much like to hear those idiots scramble over themselves trying to explain what exactly makes that Jedi gay.
Oh Train to Busan has one of my favorite Korean actors, Ma Dong-seok
I guess my point is that we don't see any hint of his sexuality, so to assume it's one thing or another feels like a reach, at best.
Yeah, it's a reach
nah wee dingwall is far better than this guy. wee up here shot a perfect bullseye with out even trying
Idk he just talks in a soft voice, is skinny and has a "gay" haircut
So he's a twink, but like.... There's way gayer Jedi in the high republic
Good lord, it's like middle school all over again...
That's the culture war for you
"gay haircut" as if thousands of little kids haven't had that exact hairstyle while being child jocks
I have no idea what their arguments are but I've been around it enough to extrapolate
I just realized, he's also a Padawan
I mean, yeah, I could have guessed. I just enjoy making those types of assholes squirm, when they have to admit out loud that they're being bigoted, and they just apply a thin sheen of "evidence" to hide behind.
you know it wont happen. they cant even explain how its woke after 6 episodes
so what if he's a lil clocky? who gives a shit realistically
besides the anti-woke mob obviously
This is Dagan Gera in real life btw
No one does. But those anti woke idiots are intent on driving the discussion.
Damn, that is a handsome dude!
damn, that eyeshadow pic is stunning
Literally if Oshamir happens, it's over for their arguments. Oshamir will have a kiss scene and the two witches have not and probably won't
that's a man born to play a slutty vampire if I've ever seen
Bro mean mogs everyone so hard I love him
Silly goose, all vampires are slutty.
yes, but slutty vampires take it to another level
He's got that "Blue Steel" down
If only Dagan Gera got to start his gay empire with Rayvis š
so dagan is definitely not human. is it wrong of me to call him a freaky alien genotype? XD
huh, Dagan is part of an offshoot of Arkanians, who were genetically experimented on, interesting
I think Dagan is half Arkanian
He's all right now...
Like how Jecki is half human half whatever her species name is
theelin
Theelin
^
meant that
Idk, wookiepedia just says he's Arkanian offshoot
Tholothian is the race of Adi Gallia if that's what you were thinking
nah i meant theelin but tholothian came out instead
Which, I saw a really cool OC on Instagram of a male tholothian Jedi
I believe one of the dancers in Jabba's Palace is Theelin.
Yes
Or half Theelin
Found it
oh high republic as well
Male Tholothian
ooooh I'm a huge sucker for characters with eye scars, especially if the eye is colorless like that
It's a really neat take on the species, I don't think we have a canon male of them
I also know of someone in Mando Mercs who made a Tholothian Mando
He's just British
anyone know the actors name?
Gay by default
Especially today.
Children's Theatre's Winter 2012 Production. Cast aged 12-19 + several alumni of the program.
as someone who dated a british girl, i can confirm
I want to say I saw the last name Caruso
How is voting out Tories today homosexual
I don't know much about British politics, but if that's what your were up to then ok. You're one of the good ones.
||jokes on you I'm Asian||
You're either American or not RAHHHH /j
Fucking gottemmmm
Harry Trevaldwyn
I forgot that his Jedi name is just Mog
Mog Adana
i kind of love how most high republic jedi wear a belt bit the color of their lightsabers
even if mog never uses his saber in the show we still know that he uses a blue saber
I was about to say this
Mohg beat the allegations, but then a few days later Disrespect lost
damn straight, free my mans Mohg, he just wanted to worship the formless mother with blood
Welcome back Lord of Blood
That's reserved for the Padawans
Is there lore to explain the lightsaber color meanings yet or is that still legends
i believe its still legends as the while color this is a more personal thing now
That place belongs to Juhani
I know white and red have meaning, and as a white blade enjoyer I like that it's only accessible from unbleeding
No
Sad
Look at Fallen Order, Cal just picks his blade color when he's building his quick connect
Also aren't there 2 more canon white blade users besides Ahsoka
True
isnt canon color for FO blue?
Yes, sadly
Basic Blue
They could've done something real cool and said his canon color was indigo or cyan š®āšØ
I always go with Cyan in those games.
Gold/Yellow for me
White baybee
yep orla jareni for one
Which seems to imply to me that something with the user's force attunement does have an effect, and that kyber crystals are seemingly somewhat sentient a la harry potter wands (fuck Joanne) but what the attunements are and how it affects the kyber crystals we got no clue
Ohhhh I remember this one now
i remember orla from the high republic novels. and i know who the other one is i just can remember their name
they appear in the series 2 holocron
Anakin messed with Ahsoka's sabers to turn them blue
We do know that the crystal "chooses" its wielder in some capacity, which would suggest some level of force sensitive awareness.
krin dagbard is the other
it's definitely a "partnership" of sorts between the user and the crystal for sure as well, but it can be forced a la bleeding at the expense of potential breakage as seen with Sith and Kylo for that last one
Right. So I think the blade color likely has more to do with the individual Jedi's state of mind when building, rather than it like it was in legends.
It's basically a deadly mood ring /hj
would be interesting if the color represented an emotion placed into the crystal at the time of finding that it holds and utilizes the force that way? That could also tie in narratively to why Ben's broke, since he was most likely fractured mentally between his family and the dark side when trying to bleed it
I kind of like that idea. The crystal is tied so closely to the wielder that it can be physically affected by an extreme shift in the wielder mental state.
Quite literally a "get what you give" situation
i remember hearing somewhere that there was 3 ways to create a red crystal in canon, i dont know how reliable it was and unfortunately cant find it now.
1 the bleeding process we all know
2 get a regular crystal dark siders will always get red eventually
3 brute force one into existence through the force
be it canon or not though, that last one would be kind of epic XD
Like, just blink one into existence by hating hard enough?
That would be wild to see.
pure concentrated hatred made strong enough to crystallize
Imagine like Darth Sion in canon and he just makes a kyber crystal like that one fish in the SpongeBob movie grows a beard on command
Now I just want to see what sort of lightsaber you could build if you used some of the crystals you find in Resident Evil 8
that would legitimately be awesome. id imagine the process is even harder than bleeding a crystal
Idk why but I see a lot of force lightning involved
just have kenobi going to town infront of him and he can make a crystal large enough to power star killer base XD
Maybe that's it. They use force lightning fired into the ground to create a fulgurite, and use that as the crystal in their saber.
Did Palpatine in canon bleed a mountain sized crystal?
i dont believe so
It was something in that post ESB Vader comic I thought
hell, they could probably just kamehameha style it and increase the pressure between their hands
Which, in my opinion, is way more dumb and canon breaking than Acolyte
Vader witnessing Sheev's whole Exegol thing, not telling Luke, but also trying twice to kill Sheev before RoTJ is just so stupid to me
you would have thought palpatine would have learned after the first attempt
i love how barely anyone called sheev by his given name
the plagueis novel even implying he forsook the name sheev entirely even in his family
can't blame him
I thought the name Sheev was a post Disney creation, or am I wrong
Nah Sheev is a cool name
you are wrong yes XD
oh?
i retract my statement
Some people are saying good ol george had it as an idea but it had never been put through?
so you may be partially right
You probably thought it was Plagueis because James Luceno wrote both Tarkin and Plagueis
Interesting
Regardless I love Sheev
yeah sheev is a great name
i can just imagine cosinga and his wife just sitting there in the delivery room like "this one hates me, we wont give it a name. it will only ever be boy palpatine"
A quora thread suggests that Sheev is a reference to Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction
Also sounds like shiv. Appropriate, since he stabbed the Jedi and the Repbulic in the back.
Well we know he likes giant balls of destruction
Warframe also has a goofy grineer knife named Sheev
man, I love Vern.
I wish she still had her hair though š¦
Everyone's like "wehhh they ruined luke in ep8"
Meanwhile i'm like "they made vern bald š¦ "
Don't call her that, she hates that
Didnāt Count Dooku disappear for like a decade before resurfacing in AotC?
More or less
