#Proffie is trying to have 2 buttons

What OS?
You need to add in Fett's button prop. It'll support one button.
How would I do that?
You've got a lot to fix in that config.
Each preset should start with a {
And end with a },
Hm ok, I just followed a template
Well, not really.
I also think you're trying to add names that would show on an oled screen. The text in the quotes should go in the parentheses. But if you don't have an OLED. Just delete them.
Do you also have a track called "STARTING TRACK NAME GOES HERE.wav"? If not, get rid of that. It shows up several times.
fair, I'm just not sure what to put there as I have no tracks loaded, as I just don't have a use for them
Don't put anything. Nothing is always better than telling it to look for something that isn't there.
ok, sounds good, i just now routed them to the one theme I did have loaded
from what i can tell they all start and end with { },
this is what im running through now, still rittled with "unexpected unqualified-id before blank"
Yea I have absolutely no clue, it will say that the { before enginegrip is wrong but if I remove it it then says the quote infront of it is wrong instead
this is incorrect. you should always have these in there. webusb uses these as well as your oled. but its a context thing. helps keeps errors down.
also making sure some track is in the track space is advised as well.
I respectfully disagree. If you're not using WebUSB (which TBH is meh, anyway) you take the simple route in resolving Proffie issues with those that are new to it. Which in this case was to remove the text altogether. In the end if you do decide to use Web USB to update presets, you can always edit the names right in the web interface.
Both Brian and Fernando have said that that's the way that it should be done. That's the only reason why I am saying that.
As far as tracks go, again taking the simple route for the sake of solving the issue, it's better to have nothing than something that doesn't exist. Additionally, with the track player feature in OS6, I don't see much of a point in adding a specific track to each preset anyway. Most of mine are blank.
I leave mine blank all the time. No ill effects.
When they are blank, Web USB lists them as preset1, preset2, etc. I'm sure it's more convenient, but not necessary.
So I have an issue where every time i swap fonts i hear "font directory not found" overtop of the fontname/sound the saber works perfectly, motion controls and everything but it just says that every time it boots or changes to a new font, which all of them work
I see os6 needs a common folder, do i just make a new folder named common and throw everything in?
Basically?
you'll need to create the folder on the sd and put the correct sounds in it. then you'll need to reference it in the config
like such
each preset will need it
You're likely missing the common folder. Your can either add it in and dump your tracks in there (but make sure you then change all of the path names in the config for those tracks to common/tracks, or whatever it actually is) or just delete the "; common; from each preset if you're not going to use it.
Really, you could just put a common folder on your SD card and leave it empty until you learn what it's for. It'll do no harm. That's the easiest solution.
well. there are free downloads for all the sounds needed for the common folder for OS6. Brian put a lot of time into doing them all.
pick which ever voicepack is what you want. extract and stuff them all in
That's the ideal solution, yes. @waxen silo sorry, I skimmed the top part of his question and didn't see him mention the common folder. You are on point 100%. I need better reading and comprehension skills.
would the tracks folder stay out?
you don't throw everything in the common folder. you put in sounds that are the same or "common" for all the fonts.
you can put the tracks folder in there. but adjust where the config is pointing to find them.
oh
right now you have Tracks/Palpatheme.wav"
you would change that to common/Tracks/Palpatheme.wav if you moved the tracks folder there.
okay sounds good thankyou
The link Syn has above has all the voices you'll hear when scrolling through menus on the saber. LIke color, or volume etc. You should throw one of those voice packs in there.
