@sick thorn & @stoic ridge as per the updates that were made to auction rules (which can be read in #auction_rules to familiarize yourselves with them) buyouts are not allowed to be made after the auction has been started. Meaning asking what someone would accept as a buyout offer (or what they would accept as an offer to end the auction early) is not allowed (giving a response with an amount is also not allowed). You just bid as normal if no buyout was made at the start of an auction. Please make sure to familiarize yourselves with the rules as failure to follow them will lead to a trademute and removal from the auction and trading posts.

You cannot ask what they will accept to end an auction early, as that equals asking for a buyout price. You could, however, bid 30 moon balls and if the auctioneer says they're happy with that and closes, thats fine. (This is just an example not specific to this auction btw).
So in this case, if someone were to bid 100 points worth of things right now and the auctioneer said "im happy with that and am going to close early" thats acceptable. Asking "if I bid 100 points will you close this auction early" is not, as that is asking for a buyout which then breaks this rule:
Ignoring a buyout, adding a buyout midway through or using buyouts to fish for bids will get you permanently removed from the trading and auction section of this server.

I get it but that just incentivizes dealing “under the table” like messaging someone for a buyout and then acting like they accept highest offer in public chat just to obey the rules. I understand rules are rules but it’s basically like a store announcing they don’t accept discounts but then they offer you the discount exclusively at the register.
