GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES
- 1 auction per person allowed at a time.
- 4 hours minimum and 72 hours maximum length for auctions - once a time has been set, there are no extensions allowed with the exception of a snipe extension (see below).
- Provide complete information on what you are auctioning, e.g. Pokémon, OT/TID, IVs, self-caught, traded, Pokémon Go etc.
- No separate bids on multiple Pokémon within one auction. If you auction multiple Pokémon, bids apply to the complete package.
- No cross-posting: posting auctions outside of this server, as well as offering a Pokémon in our trading channels and auction threads simultaneously is not allowed.
CLEAR COMMUNICATION
- Do NOT use reactions to decline or accept bids.
- Do NOT use unaccepted bids to fish for higher value.
- Clearly state whether you accept or reject a bid, or when not interested at all. Do not wait till last second to do so.
- Clearly state your bid within the auction, no DMs or private bids are allowed.
- Hosts are not forced to accept bids, but please respect people's time.
- Clear communication: both Auctioneer and Bidder need to show clear communication
Indicating a bid is the highest value is the same as accepting it, and will be treated as such.
FAIR PARTICIPATION
- Take auction bids seriously, double check that you actually have what you are offering and follow the guidelines provided by the host. Make auction bids reasonable, don't suddenly jump to an extreme higher bid for no reason.
- If you are bidding on multiple auctions at the same time, make sure you have all items and/or Pokémon available in case you win more than one.
- The auction host is allowed to end an auction early if they are satisfied with the top bid. However, it is not allowed to end an auction for any other reason. Failing to comply with your initial auction time limit is subject to moderation.
- Once a top bid is accepted, both host and bidder are required to follow through with it. Make sure to think through what you would like to receive in your auction. Backing out of an accepted top bid is subject to moderation.
- Snipe extension: If a last minute bid is accepted within an hour of the ending time of an auction, the host is allowed to extend the auction for a maximum of three hours one time only. If another last minute bid happens and this gets accepted, extending the auction again is not allowed.
- Repeated ghosting of both hosts and bidders in auctions, by not trading the offered Pokémon and then reposting the same auction is subject to moderation.
BUYOUTS
- If you are setting one, you can ONLY set a buyout from the beginning of your auction.
- A buyout has to be an exact number or value and clear to bidders what you are seeking.
- Using point systems is okay, but if a "X" points buyout is set, the host does NOT get to pick and choose if they don't like the combination(s) offered.
- Once a buyout offer is made, you must accept it. Snipe protection does not apply to buyouts.
Ignoring a buyout, adding a buyout midway through or using buyouts to fish for bids will get you permanently removed from the trading and auction section of this server.
REPORTING RULE BREAKS
If you feel an auction is unfair or rule breaks are happening, please feel free to ping or DM <@&663761167176433665> or <@&663661157227167744> , as well as use the #reports channel to let us know! We cannot keep an eye on each and every auction, so we greatly rely on community reports!
- We reserve the right to lock or close any suspicious auctions or auctions that are getting out of hand.
- Any rule breaks may lead to a permanent trade mute and/or removal from the server.
AUCTION LENGTH - UNIVERSAL TIMESTAMPS
Using this useful website, you can generate universal timestamps you can copy and paste into your auction to make it easy for anyone to know at what date and time your auction will end!
We highly recommend including a universal timestamp in your post in order to avoid any confusion.
