Basculegion is evolved from only white stripe form Basculin when it takes a certain amount of recoil damage without fainting. I don’t care about the specifics so don’t ping me with any big brain corrections, but I know that it’s something close to 300 and can be healed in the process without undoing progress. A few Wave Crashes will do it

I’d say it feels slow compared to Scarlet because I fully played that first. Everything in Shield after felt so slow, like the catching animation, getting around, stuff like that

SV definitely gives you more freedom to fully explore

Definitely made me more anxious than it should, it’s so dramatic with each shake

It was nice how the battles are in the overworld too, and the transition was fairly seamless. Having a separate battle scene in SwSh dragged stuff out longer, but I don’t think I would mind as much if I’d have played SwSh first

Unions in general can just be for whatever you want to do with others, like hunting down Pokémon from the opposite version, grinding BP in the DLC, or just general goofing around

Honestly, I would probably try an outbreak for it if you can. It’s not one I’ve actually got or hunted before, but I would hazard a guess and say it’s probably the best way to get one without as much overlap with other Pokémon

You can definitely find more detailed guides around, but that’s basically the essentials yeah. I’ve done it for about 7 Pokémon so far in SV, and plan to do more in Shield. All of them were fairly within the bell curve, from like 64 for Fuecoco to almost 1300 for a Moon Ball Hizorua

Weirdly, I’ve also found Tangela and Murkrow to be the biggest culprits, sometimes Budew too. Everyone says Paras/Parasect are nightmares, but I’ve noticed those are strangely aggressive to me

It’s just like the LP system in the main game, but you get BP instead via completing small, easy quests in the Terarium in the DLC. You can then use those points to unlock various perks, like wild starters, camera upgrades, stuff like that
