The reason they're banned here, and anywhere else not trying to sell you something with little care to whether you get banned for not, is because they can easily get you banned.

There's already been a banwaves in:

Sun/Moon/USUM for edited savefile data being caught when players used Game Sync/Pokemon Global Link services.
SWSH 1 week after Isle of Armor released, targeting the hosts and frequent participants of hacked raids containing unreleased Pokemon, like Shiny Gmax Zarude, Bad Eggs, 999x item rewards, etc.
In HOME 3 seperate times in the last year for account sharing, moving illegal pokemon between accounts, and high volume traffic between accounts (large numbers of trades, transfers, logins on multiple switches, etc.)
In SWSH and SV for players who brought hacked Pokemon to Ranked battles and official tournaments.
As well as patches in BDSP, HOME, Legends:Arceus, and SV, to patch exploits and detect cheats more easily.

Even if you're "safe for a while", eventually you can and will be banned for seeking them out and using them.

And the bans can apply to your account OR worse, the entire switch, turning your 400$ console into a brick that can't go online anymore. No access to online services, game and system updates, your HOME account and anything in it, no transferring your savefiles to a new switch, etc.

Even new account or factory reset doesn't fix that, and support will not unban you under any circumstances, Nintendo Customer Service employees are literally not even able to unban a console.

In the few rare instances they accidentally banned a Switch and the person could prove it was a mistake (good luck proving it btw), Nintendo had to send the person a whole new Switch because bans can't be reversed. They lost their account and all progress for all games, had to start from complete scratch.

TLDR: Don't look for them here, and if you value your Switch/Nintendo account not being banned, don't go looking for them anywhere.

I have the shiny charm, and kept doing ghost shiny sandwich in tag tree thicket north of the river. I did it about 4 times in my own, and a friend joined to help, found it 3 minutes into that first sandwich with my friend. Friend actually found it for me and let be the one to catch/keep it

You can also try a multi hunt for Mimikyu, Phantump, and Litwick in the DLC. Before I got my Phantump, I ended up with multiple of the other 2

I didn’t expect it to be as disheartening as it was, he’s obvious once you have him, but he’s so little and the coloring is very slightly different in the lighting. The cheeks are the biggest tell. I had to stop hunting because it kept making me feel like I wasted time.

Yeah, I’ve honestly felt that way about a lot of hunts. The best thing you can do is just take it steady and keep trying only when you feel like it again, and if not, focus on something else you enjoy. With the consistent effort, it makes it even better when it does finally shine after a long time. I’m glad you got one after what sounds like a tough old hunt

I haven’t actually started any DA’s in Shield yet but I’ve gotten 2 of the Swords of Justice. Virizion I hunted on and off for a month, and finally got it at almost 1600 checks with the Charm. I was so happy, even my family was invested in it shining haha

Cobalion, on the other hand, was the total opposite. 45 encounters

You actually won’t know it’s shiny until the end, and you can decide to take the legendary or one of the three you catch before hand, and I’ve gotten so many shiny starters from it! My big mistake was not knowing you could rerun the legendaries as many times as you wanted and just grind for the shiny! I actually really liked it because it made it so I could really play with friends and we would get excited for each other if anyone got a shiny
