basically you have to beat the gym trainers are a prerequisite to fighting the gym leader themself

That’s a good idea actually, just depends on how you decide who the gym leader is Vs the trainers cause obviously the leader should be strongest

they battle each other and see who is strongest

and then the strongest is the gym leader

and the weaker is the gym trainer
