True, I see people with ridiculously short hunts, and nightmarishly long ones to contrast. I suppose it helps when it’s a shiny you really want as well. The save before collecting the eggs method has also helped a lot for me so far

I actually have never tried soft resets, although I did the SOS method in Ultra Sun for a Rockruff with the Shiny Charm. I didn’t count exactly, but it was in the 80 figures 😂

my SOS shiny count is maybe close to 90

and 4 of said SOS mons are on my shiny hunting team there

After Rockruff, I tried to get Hawlucha too, but ended up getting tired after 200+, and accidentally killed the one I was using to call the support Mons 😂

I’m just gonna pop out for a bit, and make a start on my 3rd and final batch for the day. Hoping against hope the shiny is in that one haha

Morning everyone, should be online in a couple hours. I’m gonna be on the shiny egg hunting grind again, aiming for the 500-550 ish mark today in terms of hatched eggs (currently sitting at 267, or 3 batches of about 90 at a time 🐣)

If I decide to step away from that and take a break, I’ll probably be doing some Raids. I really don’t feel like doing other shiny hunts, and won’t do so until I successfully/hopefully find the shiny I’m aiming to hatch

Should I take a break from hatching, I will be Raiding, or maybe doing a few SOLO shiny hunts (no offence guys, but I’m in that kinda mood when it comes to shinies 😆). I could also be willing to help a few Violet players with their Dex, although I’ll have to see on that

After 401 eggs, and worrying that this was impossible for some reason, I finally got my shiny!

This is Rui, the golden Hisui puppy, and I love him already 😂😍 I think I need to head out for a bit to calm down, but he literally just sprang out of the egg when I’d just finished whining about the hunt, as luck would have it. Proof that complaining does work in moderation, as it does with Herba grinding as well in my experience 😂

But yeah, I’m just gonna head out for a bit, and I’ll probably be down for doing something else when I get back. Suddenly hunting isn’t as annoying anymore haha

Yup, exactly that 😆 I feel more proud of hatching the Growlithe than most of my hunted shinies to be honest, because it’s a different method. The hatched ones feel even more special haha

Morning everyone, I’m gonna be back on soon. My plan of action for the day is gonna involve building a shiny team of Mons that I both like, and can function well in Raids

It’s gonna be made up of shinies that I had on hand across both Scarlet and Violet: Hisuian Arcanine (Rui 🐯), Leafeon (Korok 🍃), Toxapex (Pisa 🐡), Garchomp (Gobi 🏜️), Farigiraf (Zarafa 🦒), and blue flower Florges (Iris 🪻)

I’m gonna be doing this on my Violet, since the greater abundance of supplies I have there will make it a quicker process, and then drop them in my Scarlet boxes via Home.

Once that’s all done, I’m probably gonna be testing them out by doing some Raids, and then potentially shiny hunting afterwards, depending on if I have enough time. I’ll be around all day, though, so if there’s anything (ideally small) I can help you with, I’ll do my best

YO completed my shiny dex and started off with hunting for 2 shiny iron hands

I might get started on that, but please be aware that certain hunts (like Roaring Moon and Sandy Shocks) are trickier than others, and I’ll only be open to a specific few players joining me for those ones.
