how does it work?

Basically we make a sparkling sandwich and then go into Area Zero. We hunt for the other person, and when say, I find the shiny that you're looking for, I call you over to catch it, and vise versa. Gotta be careful not to engage it in battle, since you'll have to catch it, because Pokemon despawn when running away in co-op

Not true, since there's the duplication method where the host saves and once the other player catches it, the host can reset and catch it themself
