Do you guys have any methods to the madness of shiny hunting? I've got scythers dex entries at perfect (not just complete) and have literally avoided all pokemon except scythers both capturing and battling and this whole week, spend about 2-3hours a day ONLY going for scythers and not once have I come across a shiny of it. I've come across other shiny pokemon some which only have a complete dex but BARELY any checkmarks on em....what am I doing wrong lol, also Ive mostly been looking for them by that Giant tree in Obsidian Fieldlands. AND I've done maybe 3-5 mass mass outbreaks of scythers, and nothing.

Just trash your storage, battle the bandits for 4x gold nuggets, go inside space time distortions to get items to sell. Buy materials from the merchant to mass make ultra balls, leaden? balls (the 3rd heavy ball)

And buy sticky globs from the other merchant

You can then sustain yourself by doing MMOs and catching a bunch of things as a Full star rank

Tbh I don't think you need to perfect every dex entry unless you really want to be a completionist but I definitely recommend finishing the pokemon with a larger Evo line and ones that are more rare. Like Eevee, Zorua, Space-distortion spawns, Burmy, Cherrim, All Starters, and Spiritomb are some I can think of from the top of my head. So prioritize those first.

A Shinydex takes up about 8 boxes or so you should have enough space for extra's. Release the pokemon that aren't shiny or legendary and sell the Grit items you get from that. You should be making bank if you spam MMO.
My ball choices are Ultra and Jet balls and you can buy x999 of them both for only 750k. Sticky globs, smoke ball, and that one sneaky spray item are all great to carry with you too so stock up on those.

You should make it a habit to hit every shaking tree/ore deposit you come across and CHECK everywhere while on a excursion. You don't know how many times I was like "Omg I almost didnt look in this area" to myself lol.

Legendaries, mainly. (Excluding Phione I think?) Most other pokemon you have ways to catch more than one of - primarily from Outbreaks or Space-Time Distortions

(Though for reference, you are able to reattempt catching legendaries if you mess up in your attempt. It's just that you can only actually catch them once)

And the real answer, Im not 100% sure but I think if the tree closest to alpha lopunny in the fieldlands has cherubi, so I guess resetting the map, flying there and checking if it shakes

hey i was playing some Pokémon Legends Arceus and i just noticed that in the Coronet Highlands, the bottom of the waterfall that feeds into the Fabled Spring has a bunch of Magikarp in it. and high above at the top of the waterfall, that small lake has nothing in it but a few Gyarados. what a nice little piece of environmental storytelling.
