I have a question abt Pokémon go I’m new at it. I heard full star raids with legendaries are 1/20 chance shiny. Is this when it’s a full star raid or when it’s legendary? Or does it have to be both?

“Full stars” or 5 stars are always legendary.

So yeah the chances for em are 1/20, including the mythicals that drop into those raids too but only if the shiny is available.

So, for example, Tangela, which has been in raids, research and wild recently,

So you're just as likely to get a shiny from a Tangela raid as you are from a wild one you just clicked on.

If you take a screenshot of the pokemon when it shows stats, and then import the photo into poke genie app, you can see the % of the pokemon and what lvl it is. Can also copy+paste that name you get and use it in pogo for easier to remember who is who if u have multiple of the same pokemon

As a level 30, don't worry too much about having high level mons.

Levelling mons up past 30 has diminishing returns.

Better to build some level 30 teams of good PVE mons (see https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/comprehensive-dps-spreadsheet sorted by DPS^3*TDO for optimal species and movesets), than to get just one level 40 mon.

IVs are nice for longer-term goals, but for now, just focus on things that are already high level.

You have limited resources, so make them count.

Basically, there's a formula for how strong a mon is. It's not a straight line, it's more like a curve, so level 30 mons are nearly as strong as level 40 ones.

But it takes many more candies and stardust to level a mon from 30 to 40 than 1 to 30.

So focus on having a number of quite strong mons, rather than one mon you've powered up all the way.

Yeah, pretty much. As long as that's decently towards the right, you'll be fine for now.

Also, don't worry about Go Battle League too much.

You probably won't have the resources to get very good mons, so play a bit if you can, but don't worry about optimising that.

It's not really until the late Trainer Level 30s that I would say you have the resources (candy amounts, bag space, storage space etc.) to spare on building pet projects.
