And in a pandemic situation, that is a genuine issue for a lot of players.

But I think the changes that have been put in place have made it at least vaguely playable for a lot of rural players.

Free Remote Raid Pass a week means you can generally get one copy of any legendary in rotation via online,
Incense, whilst it may have been nerfed from height of pandemic levels is still VASTLY better than how sporadic it was pre-pandemic
Free daily task is a godsend for streaks, and also just getting key items.

Just hatch eggs as and when. There's no massive point to hatching them in "an order". Except deciding between hatching from the 9 regular slots and the 3 extra slots.

It's not really a winnable situation with questlines.

If they make it so that all challenges don't rely on the mons available at the time of release, people in urban areas will just whizz through catch X random pokemon in no time flat, and it's just not great game design, as everything becomes disconnected from any theming they're trying to do.

If they make it so that challenges rely on specific mons, rural players do have issues, and there's issues when the event is over.
Elsewise if they keep them always available, which, as is well documented, causes a lot of annoyance.

If you do want to focus on what's good for raids, would recommend that spreadsheet.

If you put a type in the "Poketype 1" slot,

You'll see the best potential counters for that type.

Obviously, you can be more specific, and look at specific counters for specific raid bosses,

But searching against a specific type is a fairly easy general list.

Returning back to this, it's likely a technical limitation.

I don't know precisely how Niantic operates this stuff, this is just assumption based on what I do know,

Suppose Niantic servers have enough power to comfortably hold 5 billion spawnpoints, and transmit them to all players simultaneously. That isn't enough to cover the world in enough spawns so that everyone can be finding spawns all the time.

And additionally, it's wasteful, if you have spawns players will never see, because they're over oceans, or in completely inaccessible areas, like in the middle of some person's private farmland.

So you have to prioritise such that the majority of your players get a good experience when they're out and about. So you make a prioritisation system by cellphone activity. You concentrate spawns around areas that have a higher amount of activity, which would lead to a greater amount of spawns in urban areas, but you minimize the amount of wasted spawns that no one will ever see, and you maximise the amount of mons the "average" player will see, by putting them around commonly walked areas.

this makes sense because niantic are of course a small indie company made up of people that have lives outside of the game and do not have the time to iron out any bugs or make the game run better or add any QoL updates

You can only invite 5 people normally. Certainly Pokegenie will only assume you can invite 5, and will bar you from the service until you prove you have good enough counters.

Obviously, if 5 people are trusting in you to deliver a 6man raid, and you're not putting in enough damage, and they lose out on passes, that causes issues,

So they try and prevent that from happening in the first place.

You can't do it at 40.

The critical offensive breakpoint for Mega Zard Y is reached at 45.5, and even then, that's vs Mega Abomasnow, arguably the "easiest" solo Mega raid with pretty much perfect play, the correct moveset and sunny weather required.

Mega Zard Y itself is theoretically possible soloable, but afaik, hasn't been done yet by even the top level raiders.

So didn’t even know that some of the Flabébé forms are regionals because of course they are. Red only in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Yellow in the Americas (which I’ve only encounter yellow because of that) and blue in the Asian Pacific. White and orange can also be found everywhere just rare spawns.
