Put it on, find out where it is the most pokemonstops. Find the best cafe/resturant/pub/whTever u fancy, and when people invite you out on social things then, go there, put on a lure on all and just socialize and let the gotcha do the rest. Win win!

I can’t leave it where it is considering it’s 3 stars with the best stats out of all my Pokémon and it has the highest CP my second highest is about 2,443 and the Metagross is 2,567 while my 3rd strongest is 2,234

i wouldn't use cp as the guideline for 'best' - best is very situational based on what you're using the pokemon for i.e. gyms, raids, pvp. even if you did have the 'ideal' metagross it's still only useful in certain situations. sounds like you might be a lower level player and it might be worth getting more mons before going all in and investing in just one?

like i have a 4.5k cp slaking, and it's useless at best

my 3k machamp is waaaay more useful for things etc. so really comes down to what you want to use metagross for

There's a few. Magikarp/Feebas/Eeveeforlevel41 are the only specific pokemon main quest ones, as far as I can remember.

In Meltan research it's magnemite, scyther, grimer and drowezee, mebe forgot 1 or 2 more

So that's something called "Max Stat Product". As I outlined more here: #pogo_discussion message
CP is massively weighted for Attack.

So when you have a CP cap for all Leagues barring Master variants, a 15/0/0 will reach the CP cap at a lower level, and thus give you a lower total overall stat when compared to a 0/15/0 or 0/0/15 levelled to the max it can be for the CP cap.

But obviously, some CPs aren't as close to 1500 as they could be, and an additional power up would push them just slightly over the 1500 mark.

So people worked out what the maximum stat total for each mon for each cap was, and designated those IVs as the most optimal. Excepting a few circumstances where things need to beat other things based on attack ties, this holds true.

So your 0/4/8 Binacle would be in the top 7.5% (or it's better than 92.5%, if you'd prefer that) of all Barbaracles at a particular CP cap. Probably GL, but possibly UL. Pokegenie should tell you, I assume.

Lugia's good for PVP, but other shadow legendaries are better for PVE (where you really want multiple)

Unless you have really bad IVs on the Lugia, and really want to use it in ML, and want another reroll of the cherry.
