Ohhh if you mean the Machop, its kindda normal, when you Purify a shadow pokemon.
Shadow Pokemons are caught after a Team Rocket encounter, you can search for all your shadows on the search tab, type 'Shadow'

Also for Purified pokemon:

No tips sadly. For shinx you just have to get lucky for those raids. He seems to be the most rare imo. All I see are Croagunk in my area. As for blitzle and butterfree keep catching, do the raids, and quests that have them as an encounter.

Does anyone know how the pokemon level is calculated when transfering from go to home?

Pokemon go uses levels up to 50 so some soft examples would be cp10 (lvl 1 obvs), anything caught from research stamps is level 15, raids are caught at level 20 (25 if Weather Blosted), nothing should really be transferred at level 41-50 (unless you transfer something you powered up with XL candy) ,, you can also use various apps / websites to check level 🙂

Is the catch rate a little off for this event? Even using berries and having gold medal type catch advantage they are still popping out. A glitch maybe?

it's worse for kirlia / butterfree as they're evolved forms with naturally lower catch rates

but furfrou also has a poop rate, continuing the trend of new gen mons having unreasonably bad catch rates

I went super hard at the start, but now I just try and grab any featured spawns in the event as lucky, skipping any I've already got.

Which is honestly pretty chill now.

I normally have to get like 3-4 lucky mons max, so it's pretty chill.

Should be able to grab you a Mesp attempt in 30 mins, @inland ermine, depending on how many people show up. I used my daily pass, and I don't massively want to use a preemo, so I'll try and drum up some numbers.

Hi, I'm afraid the maximum trade range is 100m currently, so you'll have to seek out people in your local area to trade!

If the Grimers are for a quest, trading won't help either, as they only count when caught.

If it's for candy, try Alolan Grimers when they return to 7km eggs, or walking a Grimer as your buddy!
