Usually they arent all available and it rotates through them, rewards change based on your rank! (At rank 20 for example, you can get current legendary in raids, from GBL encounter)

Would it be worth trying to get in on one of the remote raids in the other channel if I only have Pokémon in the 2400-2800 range? Or would I just get creamed and hold the team back?

as long as there's enough other strong players in the raid, it's fine if you don't have the best mons

cp does't always equate to powerful mons - using a L20 dialga with steel counters for example will be more useful than a 3k aggron or something

Optimal pvp ivs work quite a bit differently to pve. Generally you don't want 3* mons but ones with low atk and high def/hp stat, as it lets you get to a higher level but stay under the cp limit for each league

The best way to check what's optimal for pvp would be apps like poke genie / pvpoke. What's good will vary between GL/UL/ML

venu/swamp core is very strong, so all you need is a third to handle articuno, ferrothorn, abomasnow, talonflame (machamp is gr8 for this)

ivs don’t matter that much until you’re playing at fairly high levels, but you want as low attack as possible so you can level up more

Mega Raids don't give you the mega pokemon outright, they give you something called "Mega Energy", which then allows for mega evolution of that species. It takes a fair cost (normally 200) to mega evolve something the first time, then a lessened amount on that mon on subsequent times. When you've mega evolved a pokemon once, you can walk with it as your buddy to earn additional mega energy!

They will give you the base form of the poke as well. ^^;

So a Mega Slowbro raid would net you between 40 and 70 energy, and a Slowbro.

Well that part is called Hoopa’s arrival so it makes sense

We’ll all get Hoopa, but we can’t transfer him until most likely when the season wide research is over with. So it won’t be until December 1st or 2nd when the research event is over

Oh, 100%. They'll either leave the tasks as they are, if a player can reasonably be able to do it without the spawns. (Say if it's not like "Catch 15 of this specific pokemon"), or they'll rework them, like they did with the Colossal Discovery research, to work even without the specific spawns.
