Okay, so relatively important, it definitely looks like Kangaskhan's shiny rates have dropped significantly in the wild post-event, (and as far as we know, there's only one rate for all encounter methods), so I'd be cautious raiding Kanga/Heracross explicitly for the shiny until we know more.

I mean, the shiny rate of Kangaskhan has plummeted; I can see the stats from various datacollection "sources", and as far as it's worked up until now, there's only one shiny rate regardless of encounter type, so for Kanga, it's pretty much confirmed.

For Heracross, considering that all regionals are all base rate normally, it's a fair assumption to make.

Let’s say I have 2 or Pokemon in gyms, who have stayed in the 8 hours to earn me 50 coins. They both get defeated on the same day, so what happens to the other 50 coins? Do they disappear or do you just get them the next day.

yeah try lurking #pogo_raids for raids. you will usually need to add the raid host, but then they will send you invitations to a specific raid

as long as you have a remote raid pass you can join (i.e. the purple passes, it does not work with the free orange ones you get)

There's three types of raid passes, free passes, local passes and remote passes.

Free and local passes have a range of 80m away from the gym (40m if you're in America), remote passes have unlimited range, but you can only have 10 people on remote raid passes in any gym lobby.

You get one free local pass every day (two if you're in America, to make up for the shorter distance experiment), remote and local passes you have to buy.

You can send invites to up to 5 friends (which will glow orange in the bottom right when you get an invite), but this only works with remote passes.
