also cos the excuse niantic gave people was stupid, that they wanted people to go out and "explore" more, i have a feeling people might explore less if they remove that extra range

Galar Dogs is, I mean, it's a new set of dex entries. Hard to get hyped about things that aren't going to shake up the meta in anything except ML (which I'm not massively into anyway. I vastly prefer GL and UL, and their variations), and that won't be able to be shiny. Won't be PVE usable until they get the crowned forms in another year or two anyway. Just feels a bit of a "eh" note.

Arceus+Rotom/Unbound Hoopa/SignatureMoveGirry would have each been slightly more exciting in their own way. I dunno. Just kinda took the wind out of the sails a bit.
