the main reason you might need to be careful is if there are a lot of things nearby and you want them all to show up due to cell limitations and what not

but if things are spread out i wouldn't be too concerned

okay gotcha, I do work in a casino and there is one stop that would be in close proximity, but no gyms

pretty much the main one is no stops within 20m of each other

Yeah after you nominate a few stops one or two will turn into a gym

if you want the exact, first gym pops on the 2nd POI, second gym on the 6th, third on the 20th, after that no more gyms for that cell
