I was still a bit higher of a level at around 32 when I first battled them and it was still manageable. I’m sure you can do it if you plan which mons they use before hand and organize your team in order accordingly.

That’s how I beat the 3 leaders. The leaders are hell for me sometimes and I’m lvl 35 nearly 36 and they still beat me quite a bit. I just try to get through all 3 mons to see what they are using and then I heal up and go back with a proper team.

If you change it once that’s all you get even if you change it back. Unless you use a Elite TM, then you can pick the move you want because even though all pokemon can only have 2 moves through a normal tm and it sticks, they technically can have potential for more moves the those two.

Like say Magikarp know splash as a fast move. I use a tm to change it and it will randomize between one of it’s possible moves. Whatever it lands on stays the permanent move if you change it over and over again

Honest question: I played a lot of pogo right when it came out - hit level 30 - but have not played in literal years. Saw the shiny Mew event quest coming up, what kind of timeline/effort are we talking about to bridge the gap from 30 to the required level 40?

it's much easier to level up now than it was back in 2016/2017. Adding friends is by far the easiest way, you can get 50k exp from ultra (1 month), and 100k from best friends (90 days). Stack em with a lucky egg, you can easily get a mil in one go

L5 raids are also pretty good if you do a lot back to back e.g. raid hour and have a lucky egg running, they drop 10k exp each raid. It's much better than the old evolve pidgey for 30 minutes straight on a lucky egg strategy that was the most efficient back in the day lol

If you are not lazy, you can open like 20 accounts (no kidding), and ultra friend & lucky eggs with all of them.
you will earn 2m exp after 1 month , it requires some effort but imo it's less of total effort than leveling with raids/excellent throws.
you don't even need to trade gifts, just catch the daily pokemon with each account and trade with yourself, it will increase your friendship.

This is my newest good mon. I love Samurott. It’s one of my favorite water starters. If I had to choose in order I’d say Mudkip, Oshawott, Piplup, Totadile, Squirtle, Froakie, Sobble, and Popplio being last. I just personally don’t like the entire Popplio line much. I feel like since then it’s gone down hill with water starters and I’m mainly a water starter only player, though we are only two brand new regions in since Sun & Moon. Everything between has been a remake besides Sw&Sh so who knows what the future will hold. Maybe we’ll start getting good water starter designs again. Also throughout second playthroughs I’ll usually mess around with the other starters. Unless like for example I don’t like the water one which is why I went full Team Litten in Moon and Ultra Moon which were my main games.

And before you say anything, yes I named it after Liquor. It was either Whiskey or Bourbon so I went with Bourbon. I might make my future Blaziken named Whiskey though.

Levelling, best way is to friend as many people as you can, you gain xp per stage of friendship, 4 hearts, good, great, ultra and best friends, you ingress this by interacting every day, open their gifts, send gifts for them to open, raid with them.

As for candy, just catch everything, check it all and bulk transfer them.

Mass transfer system isn’t glitched, you just can’t mass transfer legendaries, mythicals or shines

No, it actually does bug out quite a bit. I’ve tried just transferring a few crappy non favorites pokemon before & it won’t let me. Even if I unselect everything and choose different mons entirely. The best way to fix it is to do a single manual trade.
