I mean, that's probably the play. Not like Eternatus is good anywhere except max battles. It doesn't stack up in normal pve content. So with the pass, you might as well get level 3 for the attack max move and then get it to like level 30-40. No real reason to max it out. And that's all doable with just the deluxe pass. It will be our best max poison attacker (so? Lol) And our best max dragon attacker. But outside of those niche max battles that want a dragon (or poison) attacker, it doesn't have another good use. Spending particles and raid passes on the other gmax, maybe to farm for a shiny, is likely a much better use of your time and resources

the TL;DR is
if you have 1985 or fewer candies, you should only power up eternatus' levels. do not touch dynamax cannon at all.

if you have between 1986–3455 candies, you should first go to DC2 and then level up eternatus as far as you can.

if you have 3456 or more candies, you should first go to DC3 and then level up eternatus as far as you can.

since its like what, 100 candy per raid, f2p arent gonna have like 15k particles up their sleeve

if you overstack enough particles by overstacking now, and reserving particles from pass + special research, you should be able to do enough eternatus for the 11 ish battles needed for 2k candy

Max bosses have two attacks, a Large Attack that hits all 4 members in your group for a small hit (somewhere around the 33% mark, can't find the exact number) that cannot be dodged, and a targeted attack that hits only one Pokemon of the four for full damage which can be dodged

You'll see the Pokemon being targeted have 3 stripes above it

The moment you see those above your own Pokemon, swipe right/left once, then continue attacking
